Mercury Retrograde and Waiting…Again

It’s been a few days since my last post and honestly it is because I have been having a heck of a time with some Mercury Retrograde stuff. Not so much technological stuff (though there have been some missed emails and miscommunications along the way), as much as it has been a ton of reconfiguring and reworking some of my projects. If you are a fan of my Facebook page you already have heard the news that I am delaying opening registration for my group program…again.

Now, hear me out on this. It really is for the best of all involved.

If you know anything about Mercury Retrograde, you may know that it’s not a great time to make big purchases on computers, phones, cars etc. and you certainly don’t want to get married, sign a contract, get a new job etc. As a biz owner you also don’t want to launch a new project either because you open the door to missed connections, technological problems, delays, and many other frustrating things that could put a huge halt in your plans.

SO…

I am waiting on the launch. And there are some changes happening within the program behind the scenes. This is a great opportunity to make the best of Mercury Retrograde. RE-working, RE-vamping, RE-considering, RE-vitalizing, RE-viewing, etc. what I had planned so it is a great program for you. While there is a part of me that says “Yeah but, I already delayed it once and what if I lose potential participants because of it????”. There is a bigger part of me that realizes this is for the best.

As part of the reworking of the program, the guest teachers that were going to be a part of the program are no longer going to be teaching guest spots. Again, the little voice inside me said…”Yeah but, I already made the commitment and I should really just launch it now.” But the bigger voice said, it’s ok, it’s divine timing, it’s ALL GOOD.

To be honest as I was working and reworking the program (the first time), I felt some resistance to it. I couldn’t quite put my finger on it, but I was procrastinating in the planning and everything felt forced. Even some of the meetings I had with the guest teachers. I couldn’t figure it out, but now I get it. Now I know what it was all about.

Sometimes you are just meant to stand in your power even if it results in a (perceived) delay.

This is a lesson for me and for you. If something feels forced or you are feeling resistance in a project, a collaboration, or a service you are offering in your biz, it’s time to reconsider it. Dig a little deeper to see what is really going on and let it go. Maybe you need to trash it and start from scratch or maybe you just need to rework it, reconsider it, and bring some refreshing energy to it. There is no harm in that. I’m living proof.

Divine timing and all that jazz and with that comes another decision (I’m full of them aren’t I?).

I am taking only 8- new Jump Start clients for the month of July and I am not taking any clients for this program from Aug-Oct during my group coaching program. Since the Jump Start program includes 4 sessions in 4 weeks, I want to make sure I have time for my 90 day clients and my group clients, so if you are interested this is the time to get signed up. The offer expires June 30th.

With that said, make the best of this time (until July 1st) and don’t worry if things are delayed. Use this time to clear out the old and come back with fresh eyes. It really is for the best!

Recent Lessons & Major Breakthroughs

Being a coach, I am not exempt from life lessons and major breakthroughs that I help my clients through and this past week has been a pretty big week for me. Not only am I stepping more into who I really am as a business owner and coach, but also who I am as a wife, a mother, and all the other shoes I fill. It’s both liberating and sometimes downright scary to look at all the things I am doing in my life and where I want to be. I stand in awe as I look how far I have come and am amazed at the progress while still looking ahead to everything that I want to do.

I wanted to take a moment to share with you my recent life lessons and ‘aha’ moments that have come from my conversations with clients and my dear spiritual soul sisters who have shared their amazing gifts with me. I hope that by reading this you are able to identify with some (if not all) of the lessons and feel your own transformation and healing begin to take place.

Have Fun: This is such a good reminder not just for me but for any of you wonderful business-minded souls who are working, striving, and making moves in the business world. We are too often caught in the building phase of our empire that we forget what it’s like to truly LIVE and have FUN! In fact, I was given the assignment to do something fun every single day and I had a hard time thinking of what I would do! How silly is that?! Fun is a huge piece of the happy life puzzle and it is what opens us to the magic that is in the world. So, I ask you: What have you done for fun lately?

Recognize and Celebrate Your Own Brilliance: As a coach, I am able to immediately see the light and brilliance that my clients have. I see it, connect with it, and reflect it back to them in ways that they can see and feel it. It can be far more difficult for me to stand back and view myself in that same way which at times results in doubt, frustration, and dare I say fear? A wonderfully talented soul sister of mine reminded me that I don’t have to compare my talents and gifts with any one else nor do I have to place anyone on a pedestal while viewing myself as ‘below’ them on the totem pole of power and authority. When we are stepping onto our true path, it can be far too easy to compare ourselves with those around us. We take note of their success and all that they have conquered while tallying up our ‘successes’ that never seem to amount to much. But when we can step back from our ego and view our life, our accomplishments, and our gifts through fresh eyes, we see that comparison is not necessary. We are all brilliant in our own way and simply knowing that is the first step to truly seeing it. I want you to know that you are brilliant as well! Whether you are an artist, coach, healer, yoga instructor, or you are an amazing parent, partner, animal-lover etc. YOU are brilliant and have a light and many amazing gifts that the world needs. See it! Embrace it! Celebrate it! 🙂

Take Risks: This one is a HUGE message I have been getting in the last few weeks but I only recognized it last week. Most of my life I have had this internal fight inside of myself. Logic vs Dreams, Stability vs Freedom, Comfort vs Adventure. I haven’t ever really been the risk-taker in life and have spent much of my life taking calculated risks while worrying about the best decision to make to keep things ‘stable’. Since I started my business I have been playing it safe too which translates to playing small. I have put my toe in the water of uncertainty and slowly eased in when what my heart really wants to do (and what my soul is aching to do) is dive in clothes and all! I have been in my own way and while it may not seem like that on the outside, there are many ways it is manifesting in my life. Procrastination, timidness, fear, and more uncertainty. But here is the flip side of all that. I KNOW that in order for me to be wildly successful and do all the work I am truly meant to do, I must stop with the fear, stop with the calculated risks and listen to my heart again. The same heart that told me to leap into my business. The same heart that said, I don’t know how but I will figure it out. The same heart that at one point told me to move over 300 miles away from my home, my friends, and my family for love. THAT is the heart I am listening to. So risks I shall take and I encourage you to do the same. So what if you don’t have all your ducks in a row, some ducks may show up to the party fashionably late, but that doesn’t stop the party. Jump! Leap! Dive in and watch what happens to your life!

Ask For Help: I don’t know if this is because I am the oldest child or if I have developed a sense of ‘I can do it all myself’ syndrome, but somewhere along the way I decided I didn’t need help. Not only that, but even if I did, I wouldn’t ask for it. And I am not exactly talking about asking my fellow neighbors and friends for help, I’m talking asking the Universe and the Divine for assistance. I am a firm believer that part of what makes our amazing lives so great is the amount of support we receive from other realms. Call it Heaven, God, Goddess, Angels, the Universe, or whatever it is you believe in, but I know that we are not meant to travel along our paths alone and yet there are times I don’t ask for help. So, I am getting back to my daily connection with Spirit (both mine and the Universal Spirit of all things) through meditation and prayer to bring that wonderfully supportive energy back into my life and business. We don’t have to do everything on our own, nor do we have to know how, who, what, when, and all the extra details that go with it. We can simply ask and be open to receive the answer. It’s that simple! So, what could you use a little help with that you have been doing all on your own? Ask, and you shall receive!

I hope that my recent breakthroughs and life lessons resonate with you and open your eyes to your very own blissful breakthroughs. The more I grow, learn, and evolve, the more I realize life is a series of lessons that further uncover our greatness, beauty, and purpose.

May you have a bit of fun, recognize your own brilliance and light, take a few risks, dream big, and ask for help from the amazing and always loving Universe today and always. Things are changing and life is too good to stay in one place and play small. Reach beyond your comfort zone daily and expand into every corner of your greatness and watch as your life transforms into the most amazing ride you never thought possible.

Shifting, Changing, and Rearranging Services and Prices

Happy Hump Day Everyone!

While today is normally my day to post the Dream Changer post, I have decided to write a slightly different post for this week. The Dream Changer series will continue next Wed, but with so much going on in my own journey and the journey of my clients, I wanted to share a little bit with you about change.

As you know, I have come out of the ‘woo-woo’ closet and am fully embracing the spiritual side of myself and my coaching practice. With that comes a slight change in my content, a shifting of my pricing structure, and how I offer my coaching services to you.

My biggest concern in all of this is to be able to serve you better in all ways. In personal coaching, group coaching, and new master classes that I will be sharing with you in the coming months.

This is a very exciting time my clients, myself, and I would venture to say you too. It seems that the seeds we plant in the Spring are beginning to grow and burst through the soil to reveal fresh green ideas, solutions, and bigger dreams than ever before.

If you are experiencing this same unfolding, I want you to know you are not alone. It feels like life and time are speeding up and as we try desperately to catch up to wherever it is we are meant to be, it can get a little overwhelming. Should you find yourself in that same overwhelm mode, I encourage you to do a few things.

Be still- Take time out of the ‘action’ to just be. Take a nap, go for a walk, or just be outdoors without your phone. Allow yourself to enjoy the beauty that comes from just being in the moment.
Be easy-This means being easy with yourself, with your family and friends, and whomever else you come in contact with. The world is shifting and we are all feeling the somewhat crazy feelings of overwhelm and big ideas and are being forced to stand in our power in ways we never thought we could, so be easy with yourself and know that you don’t have to do it all right now.
Listen- Listen to your body, your mind, and most of all your inner voice that has amazing wisdom to guide you along your path. Allow your intuition to guide you forward and make sure you pay attention to the feelings and inklings you get as you move forward.

I am seeing and feeling for myself a ton of energy that has the potential to launch us forward into amazing success and at the same time a fear of what is shifting, changing, and rearranging in our lives. I want you to know it is ok. It is perfectly ok to feel the uncertainty. Feel it and allow it to be there for a moment, then move forward when you feel the time is right. This is YOUR path and YOUR story and YOUR dream, so allow yourself to enjoy it as much as possible. We weren’t meant to do it all in one day, so take a break, a breather, and relax a bit if it gets to be too much.

Part of the shifting and changing for me has to do with my work. Who I work with, how I work, and what I charge are all changing a bit and since it is changing, I wanted to give you an opportunity to sign up to work with me at my current rates. Now, here’s the deal. I am willing to honor my current prices for coaching ($75 per session) for a period of 2 months IF you sign up for a 30-Minute consultation by May 2nd (that is next Friday).

I am doing this for two reasons, one is that I know there are many of you who have thought about working with me and just haven’t yet made the leap to do so and because this price increase came on a bit suddenly, I want to give you an opportunity to sign up under a lower price. My new rates will be double what I am charging now per session so, if you are interested in utilizing this offer, I encourage you to contact me today! Remember I need to hear from you regarding your 30-minute consultation by May 2nd to receive the current pricing.

Blissful Breakthroughs & My Truth

The other day I had a personal breakthrough and ‘aha’ moment that resulted in me writing the post below on Facebook with a promise to write a full post on what it really means today.

“I know now more than any other time in my life it is imperative for you to live the most authentic life possible. BE you, EMBRACE who you are, LOVE yourself for ALL that you are, and above all else, be true to you. Don’t be afraid of what others might think or feel or believe about you. It’s not their life, it’s yours. Live it, love it, and encourage others to do the same!”

Part of the work I do involves not only getting to know many clients on a very personal level, but it also forces me to take stock in who I truly am. It allows me to learn, grow, and evolve with each interaction and the most recent evolution has led me to share with you a bit more about who I am.

When I began my business, I thought I had to be ‘business-like’. I compared myself to others and attempted to some degree to emulate their practices and systems. I wanted to be successful and since I was new to the business/coaching game, I opened myself up to learn as much as I could. Even while I was telling my clients to create their own paths and forge ahead fearlessly without having the path laid before them, I was looking in the wrong places for mine. I was walking in circles avoiding the one true path that was my own, the path I am sharing with you now for fear it would scare people away. I thought that by sharing my true essence I would scare away potential clients, business partners, and friends that have known me for years.

So what is all this about? What is the my true essence and who is Lamisha Serf?

I am a freedom seeker, lover of life, and a sharer of light and love. I believe we are all meant to have a blissful experience while we are alive and part of that means finding our true calling, purpose, and passion. Life is about growing, evolving, and stepping into our true power, not just physically but spiritually too and before I lose some of you, I am not necessarily talking religiously.

If you were to categorize me you might categorize me as a hippy, hippy-dippy, or a bit woo-woo and as a dear friend so eloquently put it the other day, “Call it woo-woo if you simply like to call spiritual things woo-woo. But if you call it woo-woo because you think it’s weird, I suggest finding a new term. That’s mis-using woo-woo!”-Torrie Pattillo of Holistic Voyage

I use woo-woo as a positive thing meaning all things spiritual. I meditate, use crystals, read books about metaphysics, psychics, and so much more. I pray to the Divine, use affirmations, study the Law of Attraction, set my intentions, and practice gratitude. I have friends and clients who are holistic coaches, intuitive healers, Reiki practitioners, and Angel readers and I love it all! I am fascinated by the Akashic Records, by who I might have been in my past life, and how the body handles energy of all sorts. I read about chakras, have mine balanced, believe in magic, miracles, astrology, and the beautiful cycles of the moon. I am fully aware of what happens during Mercury Retrograde and take special notice of my thoughts when I notice the numbers 11:11 on the clock.

I read all the time. Books on self-development, connecting with my intuition, communicating with loved ones on the other side, and any of the other many New Age subjects can be found on my bookshelf at any given moment.

I love learning, connecting, and helping people break through the blocks that keep them playing small because for far too long, I have done the same. I have allowed my fears of what others might think, my anxiety of who I might lose, and my stress of what lies on the other side of this Truth to hold me back for too long and now I am stepping forward. Proudly.

So what does all of this mean?

It means that there are some things that are going to change around here…with love. I am going to be my true, authentic self and stop hiding the hippy-dippy, woo-woo, tree-huggin’ hippy that I am. You might be reading things with a spiritual twist and if it resonates with you, awesome, if not, no worries.

It also means my work, coaching, and pricing structures are going to change a bit. You see coaching is not just about helping you get from point A to point B…in fact most coaching isn’t about that at all. Many coaches work on a very intimate level helping clients delve into the dark areas they would rather keep hidden from others (and themselves).

It is in these places that healing, reflection, and growth are needed the most and while I have done a bit of that work in my last year of coaching, I have found it to be my sweet spot. I get the most fulfillment out of coaching by creating loving accountability for my clients who are ready and willing to dive into the emotional centers of their souls that house the blockages that keep them from moving forward. I get excited when I can celebrate blissful breakthroughs with women as they open up to their true and authentic selves that shed amazing, illuminating light on their path forward. Through the blockages and breakthroughs I act as a guide and provide the safe space for women to share their deepest dreams and desires while unlocking their fullest potential that many didn’t even know they had.

So, to the fellow freedom-seekers and soul-centered women who are ready to share their gifts with the world, I am here to help you make blissful breakthroughs so you can begin living the life you were meant to live…the life of your dreams. The Ever-Evolving Dream=No Wrong Choices

It seems the world we live in today involves a ton of black/white issues.

Right vs Wrong

Good vs Bad

Yes vs No

This vs That

There is judgement in every seemingly wrong choice we make and the more we analyze our choices so we won’t make the ‘wrong’ choice, we paralyze ourselves from choosing at all.

Is it just me?

I have lived for far too long trying to make the best choices in all areas of my life that often times result in a ton of stress, strife, and guilt wondering if whatever choice I finally decided on was the right one.

It’s exhausting, draining, and just down right a waste of time.

Lucky for me, I am learning this lesson as I put it more into practice.

The truth of life is there are no wrong choices, in anything. There are simply choices that will lead you down one path or another. Forks in the road that may lead to amazing experiences, lessons, and gifts you wouldn’t have experienced otherwise. Winding roads that may not make for a direct route to your dreams, but will deliver you to other dreams you hadn’t even thought of.

That is life.

And what a beautiful life it is.

You see, as far as your dreams are concerned, there are no wrong choices, bad times, poor actions, or failure. There are simply choices that will help you and your dreams evolve. There are paths that may send you into a forest of lessons, magic, miracles, and connections you never thought possible. Each step you take will move you further along your path and each step will be perfect in its own right. There are no wrong turns or choices. There are just turns and choices that will move you along your path.

I say all of this to remind you that your dreams will grow, evolve, and change shape at times and everything that happens is perfect for YOU. So sit back, relax, and make choices based on what feels right for you and know that even if it doesn’t bring you the outcome you first desired, that doesn’t mean it’s wrong or bad. It’ just is what it is…another step, another lesson, another choice point for you in life.

When you take the emotional charge and judgement of right/wrong and good/bad and this/that, things not only feel easier, but your path will unfold in a more beautiful, flowing, and perfect way.

Remember everything is working out for you right here, right now.
