There is SO much excitement coming up for us around this time of year right?

There’s something about the idea of getting a clean slate and freshness of the new year that gets people motivated.  Unfortunately, most of the people who are full of excitement and wonder around this time of year don’t get very far past January before they get stuck in a rut again.

6_silver-line6 Beliefs You Need To Release Right NOW

I’m on a bit of a mindset rampage right now and beliefs are coming up BIG time in my 1:1 work right now.  How you think and feel about life and yourself is everything when it comes to living a happy life and these are some of the biggest most hairy, scary beliefs that I find are holding folks back.

  • It has to be hard.  Says WHO?  Says us apparently.  There are so many sayings that convince us that if we don’t work hard, try hard, or trudge through the tough stuff it’s not worth it, but I have seen a better way in action.  The easy way.  The way that feels magical and wondrous and so much fun!  It only has to be hard if you THINK it has to be.  That includes money, finding a career you love or finding your soulmate.  Decide right now that you deserve ease and grace and flow and I promise you are one step closer to it.

 

  • I’m not enough.  We all have these stories in our minds about how we aren’t pretty enough, smart enough, tall enough, rich enough etc. in order to achieve the life of our dreams.  But, here’s a funny thing…you are enough.  You are smart, funny, pretty, intelligent and any other thing you can come up with in order to ‘be’ enough.  And if you don’t have all the pieces, you have the potential and capabilities of getting it so, this belief is just a bunch of BS and it’s one we all hold onto a bit.  You are enough…period.
  • I don’t know ‘how’. This is a big one!  The truth is a lot of people didn’t know HOW to do something before they figured it out.  Thomas Edison and Albert Einstein didn’t know ‘how’ to do all they did, until they figured it out.  The truth is you don’t have to know HOW to do it…you just have to follow the next step and trust.  Sounds a bit elementary, but it’s the biggest thing I’ve learned in all of this work.  Trust that you will know ‘how’ when the time is right.  Always.
  • I’m not worthy.  Another biggie I hear from my clients.  So many people think they have to DO something to be worthy of their dreams.  You don’t.  You just have to have a desire and BOOM you are worthy of having it.  Of course, thinking you aren’t worthy creates feelings of unworthiness which compound in our reality with reasons we are unworthy.  Drop the story about why you aren’t worthy of living the life you desire and get on with living it already.  You are alive. You are breathing. You are here now.  You ARE worthy
  • It’s too late for me. It’s never too late to do the things you want to do or to be the person you want to be.  I don’t care how old you are or how many jobs you’ve had or how many mistakes you’ve made.  It’s never too late…ever.  If you have a desire in your soul to create, experience or live a vision in your mind then you have the power and time to make it happen.  Don’t let time be the limiting factor.  None of us really know how much time we have left right?  So hop to it already.  What are you waiting for my dear?
  • It’s just not in the cards for me.  So many people believe that when we are born we are given a hand of cards.  Some get the really good cards like the Aces and Kings while others get 2’s and 3’s and whatever hand we are dealt is it.  That’s all we get to play with.  Looking at the cards they see their future.  The possibilities or lack thereof and see what is limiting them in creating a life they love.  But, here’s the thing.  What if…you were the designer, developer and artist for your cards?  What if you didn’t actually get a hand of cards, but you get to hand-craft the cards (and possibilities) in your hand with a mere thought?  Good news! You do.  You get to choose what is in the cards for you by the power of your focus and mind, so let go of the BS story that it’s just not meant for you.  We are all cut from the same beautiful fabric and you are indeed the creator of your own reality.  Isn’t it time you started acting like it?

These are just a few of the beliefs I hear over and over again in my 1:1 work and if you have similar beliefs, they are limiting your potential more than you know.  Ditch them, dump them, and rebuild anew.  It’s time to step into your power especially as we enter into a new year.

Hello 2015: I’m Ready!

How’s 2015 treating you so far?  Are you ready for this to be your best year yet?

I know I am.

Typically around this time of year, I am hitting the ground running on my planning, dreaming, and scheming for the year ahead.  I grab my Leonie workbook and light some candles and get busy filling in all the details of 2014 and do a big release of everything that no longer serves me mentally and physically.

This year was a bit different.  When the holidays rolled around, I was literally ill.  My entire family got sick around the same time and it’s taken me a few weeks to get back to my normal, healthy self.

Thankfully, I’m on the mend and was able to get busy on some super exciting things coming up that I will share with you soon. (I know, I know secrets, secrets are no fun, but this one is worth the wait!)

So, since I didn’t get a chance to say a big goodbye to 2014 and hit the ground running right out of the gate in 2015, I’m playing catch up.

And I’m ok with it.

In fact, it seems that while this year is going to be about massive action, risk taking, and dreaming (and living) in a big way, I am easing into the year.  Not only do I not make resolutions, but I am taking a bit more time to dream, set my intentions, and get clear on what 2015 means to me.

In years past, I’ve written a letter to my future self, created a vision board, and even set my theme for the year all before the new year even began.  This year, I’m doing things a little differently.

I’ve picked my themes for the year and they are: Going Pro (for my business of course) and to Live Big (in my personal life).  The underlying theme for both is to have FUN. 

What’s life without a bit of fun, dreaming, and enjoying the ride right?  Have you set your theme for the new year?  Done some intention setting for what you want to manifest in the year ahead?  It almost feels like a beautiful blank sheet of paper that is so perfect, you almost don’t want to paint on it, but where’s the fun in that?

Goodbye 2014

In light of the year coming to a close this week, I felt the need to do my reflection in a bit of a different way.  Throughout this post are links to some of my posts from this year.  Feel free to walk down memory lane with me as we say goodbye to 2014.  Enjoy!

Dear 2014,

I wanted to take a moment to share with you my deep appreciation for what you have done for me this past year.  It’s been an amazing and memorable year with lots of highs and lows to be celebrated equally.  I’ve had moments when I didn’t think I could manage and others when I didn’t know just how good it could get and I’m forever grateful.

Before the year began, I decided my words for the year would be to “Show Up”.  It took some work, but by mid-year I had stepped out and into my power.  That momentum is ever-growing and had it not been for the theme I selected, many things may not have happened.

I also connected with an amazing tribe of women, many of whom became clients, mentors, friends, and teachers for me.  Some are still here and some have left my path, but I am so happy for the many connections I made early this year because I have learned so much.

I’ve learned to value my voice, my purpose, and my vision for the future.  I’ve learned to connect with my intuitive guidance and allow that to lead me forward in life and in my business, but most of all I learned that I have the power to make the best decisions from my heart and there is no amount of information or guidance from others that can stand in the way of that.

I’ve gained clarity about what I love to do, who I love to work with, and how investing in myself has proven to be one of the best things I can do.  It took a few months (almost 10) to get to this point, but I’m glad I made it.

Throughout the year, I also managed to make huge leaps in my life and business simply by being willing to be seen a bit more.  I took risks that lead to videos, published articles, and amazing opportunities I never would have had, had it not been for my desire to really share my light with the world.  It’s been an amazing ride for sure.

More recently, I’ve made some pretty wonderful connections and breakthroughs that are sure to catapult me into entirely new territory for the upcoming year and again I am grateful.

For every lesson, challenge, new dream, fallen desire, connection, friendship, success, and everything in between, I find myself full of gratitude for it all, for without it, I wouldn’t be where I am today.  Prepped and ready for a new, amazing year that will be nothing less than epic.

Thank you 2014. You have gotten me ready for the year ahead and I can’t wait to see what is waiting for me.
