The people that are stuck in dreamland didn’t.

It’s that simple.

Whether it is time, money, or energy, investing in yourself is a MUST if you are going to get from where you are to where you want to be.

So, when was the last time you invested in yourself?

Hmm…that long huh?

How’s that worked out for you?  Are you living the dream or stuck in dreamland?

There are probably 100 excuses you can give me this very second as to why you haven’t invested in yourself.  Maybe you think you don’t have the money, the time, or the energy to invest.  Maybe you have children, a family, commitments, a day job etc. that you think restrict your resources and you just aren’t sure how you can fit something else in.

I know better.  Those are just the excuses.

The truth is when you want something bad enough and you are ready to take the leap, you will find a way to make it happen.

You will carve out the time, hustle up the money, and you will be so inspired by the life you are living, energy won’t be a problem.

But it also comes down to value.

How much do you value YOU and what life can be for you?

Living the life of your dreams is possible as long as you don’t settle.

Close your eyes and imagine what you truly want out of life.  Not what you think you can get or what you think is possible. What do you want?

Follow the Signs to Your Destiny

It’s a new day, a new week, and I am full of all kinds of ooey-gooey goodness for the week ahead.  I have to admit last week ended with some information that boggled my mind, but after mulling it over for a few days and choosing to let it go, I am ready to rock this week!

I have had this post brewing for a few weeks and it is just now ready to be shared.  With all the newness coming in the last few weeks, my content has taken a bit of a backseat to announcements and exciting free events.  (Have you signed up for the Free Money Mindset Masterclass that is happening on Thursday yet? If you have been here for a while you know I am a huge fan of synchronistic events, messages, and signs from the Universe that let me know I am headed in the right direction.  I LOVE getting little winks from the powers that be to tell me, “Hey girl, you got this…just keep going!”

One of the most recent occurrences happened a few weeks ago as I was driving my son to school.  I was thinking about the group coaching opportunity I was creating and as I was thinking through the details, my vision, and the vibe I want to bring to the group, I began thinking about the specifics…which is always the point when any blockages or barriers come up.  Before I could venture down the path of ‘Is this going to work?’ I came out of my thoughts and the first thing I saw was a sign that said “DON’T BLOCK the intersection”.

I immediately knew that was my sign from the Universe to stop my thoughts where they were and not to go any further with the terrible what if scenarios that were primed and ready for me.  

Now, you must know that I pass by probably 10 signs just like this one on my daily commute, however I have NEVER taken them as a direct sign from the Universe.  So what made this sign so different?  How did I know that it was meant for me?

I have actually had clients ask me how they can recognize the signs from the Universe.  To put it simply, you just trust your intuition.  Sure, I could’ve written the incident off as a coincidence, thinking that I just happened to stumble upon the sign as I was thinking about some potentially negative stuff, but I know better than that.  At least now I do.  It has taken me a few years to really get into the flow of seeing the signs around me.  It also helps to ask for signs when I feel uncertain or wonder what the next step is.  Sometimes messages come in the form of tangible signs while other times it’s just a passing thought or a quote that touches me deeply.  However they come, I almost always know for sure it was a message for me.

I have had other instances when I hear or see common themes in various conversations and after a few times I recognize it as a sign for me.  Sometimes figuring out what they mean can be a bit challenging, but if you are really tuned into the moment and are open to receive the message, you will know without a shadow of a doubt what it means.

So today, as you begin your week I invite you to tune into your body, your intuition, and the spirit within that guides you.  Is there something you need or have been wondering about that will lead you to the next step?  If so, ask for a sign and then be open to how it may come.  You may read a title of a book, hear a song, recognize a literal sign on the road and know that it was meant for you.  Try it out!  I can’t wait to hear how it goes.  Feel free to share your experiences in the comments below. 🙂

I hope you all have had a fabulous week!  I know I have been saying that I want to do more videos and have not been so great about it, but today I put one together to give you more awesome info about the Group Coaching for Business-Minded Women program.  Check it out and get signed up if you haven’t already!

Let’s Talk Money, Honey! Free Masterclass

The month of March was AMAZING for so many reasons and while I didn’t share this info with you while it was going on, it’s important for me to tell you about a course I took that changed my life.  (I’m a Leo and can be kinda dramatic sometimes, but this is for real.)

The amazingly talented Isis Arjeta put together a money manifestation course that was entirely centered around loving your money and changing the dysfunctional story and relationship many of us have with money.  In short, it was the single best investment I have made this year!

And since it was a little woo-woo with meditations, hypnosis tracks, and lots of wonderful money-mindset practices it isn’t necessarily your typical money course.  We didn’t talk about budgets, income, numbers, calculations, or any of the left brain stuff you might hear from financial planners and bank professionals.

This course was all about mindset, emotions, and releasing all the negative programming we tend to have when it comes to money. 

This was such a powerful course that even before the course officially began, Isis shared a few very simple tips to bringing in more income and abundance and within 2 days I began seeing it in action.

Example:  One morning after I had just gotten my car fixed, I decided to stop for a cup of coffee.  In the drive-thru line I was feeling pure gratitude for having the money to get the repairs done and for getting to the shop safely (it was a pretty dangerous situation) and when I pulled up to the window to pay, the woman told me the person in front of me had paid for my drink.  Now, this has happened to me a few times over the last few months, but NEVER has it happened on a Saturday morning.  Sure, it was only a $3.00 order, but I received an immediate response from my pure gratitude and love for what my money did for me (paid to fix my car).  This was just the beginning.

A week later I received not one, but TWO unexpected checks in the mail that amounted to $1100 in unexpected income!!! That’s a lot of unexpected money to come in the mail.  I also received a gift card for $5.00 unexpectedly along with several other unexpected checks/payments.  Like I said, March was AMAZING!

So why am I telling you all this? 

I’m telling you because I talk to clients about money all the time.  Incidentally most of my clients are business owners or business-minded women who are looking for more freedom to do the things they love, so money comes up a lot.  I am not a financial adviser or a money manager, but I work with clients to help change their money story and open their minds to all the wonderful ways money can show up for them that is outside the traditional 9-5 job.  And with the experience I had in Isis’s money manifestation course, I just can’t keep this a secret anymore!

Investing in Yourself

Another theme I keep coming across in my own life and the lives of my clients is self-care.  More specifically how difficult it is to invest the time, money, and space to really support ourselves in the way we need.

Is self-care a pain point for you?

Do you often find yourself overly exhausted, worried, frustrated, or saying ‘yes’ to everyone else but yourself?

It’s time to stop all that nonsense and begin investing in yourself.

I know there are a million reasons not to do it and to be honest, the ones I hear the most comes down to money and time.

We all have money stuff.  We either believe there isn’t enough or what we have is all we will ever make, but that’s not true.  There is plenty to go around and investing in yourself is one of the best ways to bring more into your life.  Sounds a bit backwards I know, but when you are stressed, frustrated, angry, and living in a mindset of lack, do you find you are met with even more lack?  It’s likely you are.  But, what if you took some time for yourself to relax a bit.  Get a massage, treat yourself to a manicure, purchase a course that can change your life, or hire a coach to help you reach the next level of your dreams?  Wouldn’t that feel good?

At first the thought of spending money on things that aren’t ‘needs’ can scare the pants off some people and create anxiety especially if money seems to be a bit tighter than usual.  And while I am not a ‘money coach’ per se, I do a lot of work with my clients on their money stuff because it’s a part of the beliefs and blocks that hold us back.  Our relationship with money can be quite stressed depending on how we grew up, what we were taught, and the messages we heard and in turn believed about it.  The same goes for spending money on seemingly frivolous things.

The truth is that investing in yourself is not frivolous or irresponsible.  It is a necessary part of self-care and life in general.  We aren’t here to simply survive and live paycheck to paycheck or to scrimp and save every penny we have.  We are supposed to enjoy life, feel good, and take care of ourselves, but I often find some people just aren’t ready to take the leap.  If that is you, then I invite you to start small.

Treat yourself to coffee every once in a while if that is your thing.  Or go buy a good book that you have been dying to read and know that it’s OK to invest in yourself.  And should you find yourself wondering about hiring a coach or enrolling in a course that is calling to you, do it!

There are always reasons not to invest in yourself and your dreams.  Money is tight, the car might need fixing, the kids college fund needs to be bigger, or you just don’t believe it will make a difference, but I assure you that you will be better off if and when you do.

I am not asking you to dump your responsibilities and quit your job to invest in yourself, but I am asking you to get in touch with what you really want and need right now and allow your intuition to guide you.  I believe wholeheartedly in the powers of the Universe guiding us to the people, articles, books, quotes, tools etc. that we need in the moment so you being here is not a fluke. Listen with your heart and get busy enjoying this amazing gift we have called life!

You know what’s funny?  I get many of the same complaints and excuses when it comes to the time factor too.  There seems to never be enough time to invest in yourself, but the truth is you just haven’t made it a priority.  I invite you to make yourself, your self-care, your growth, and your dreams a priority.  The world needs to see your light shine and you deserve to live a life of excitement, abundance, and joy.
