I want to be completely transparent and real with you (as always) and let you know that sometimes the path to the most amazing things you ever imagined isn’t all rainbows and unicorns.

At least that’s been my experience.

There IS ease, grace, flow, and beauty on the path, but there is also a fair amount of resistance, crunchiness, and “tests” that come up too.

And it’s during those “tests” that we need our mindset work the most!

I know there are a lot of people out in the world looking for the quick fix and the magic bullet to make life 1000% better and while working on your mindset and learning to LIVE by the #2 secret I shared on the webinar the other day (go have a listen if you don’t know what that is) will absolutely improve your life 1000%—> it doesn’t always feel easy.

Sometimes it feels downright HARD.

I know this because I live it…daily.

I am not perfect.  My mindset isn’t that of a Tibetan Monk and I have my share of freak outs (hello all of January and part of February), but I have experienced some truly incredible shifts by turning my focus to the ONLY thing I (we) have control over…my mindset.

  • I’ve overcome daily, general anxiety after suffering with it for years
  • I’ve consistently taken on new challenges that scare the bejesus out of me and succeeded in many of them.
  • I’m happier, healthier, and less of a control freak

And if I could name the greatest change of all it would be the fact that I actually have a framework and practice to get back to when I fall off the deep end.

  • When my son (who was recently diagnosed with ADHD) was kicked out of his private school last year due to some ADHD related challenges…my mindset work saved me from completely losing it.
  • When my mother in law had to move in with us unexpectedly due to some personal challenges…my mindset work saved me.
  • When I feel like I’m “failing” (yes, even coaches feel this) and like I may never recover…my mindset work saves me.
  • When I’m triggered by the uncertainties in life and business…my mindset work saves me.

I guess what I’m trying to say is that even as a coach, I have challenges and when I find something that works to help me rebound from those challenges and decrease the frequency of them…I want to share it.  It’s what I’m here to do.

The cost of giving up…

There have been many times when I’ve thought about giving up, particularly when I couldn’t really see my way forward. 

You see, when I began this path, nothing was certain.

I made a decision to follow my heart and LIVE my purpose and 2 weeks later, I got laid off from my full-time job.

I had no clients, no money, and a dream.

A dream to help empower women to see their true brilliance so they could finally step into their power and LIVE the life they were meant to.

A dream to teach women to listen to their intuition, see and honor their truth so they could go out into the world and make a difference.

I had NO idea how this was going to take shape and while over time it began to get more clear, there were moments I thought of giving up.

But, you see the cost of giving up is much greater than just a hit to my ego.  The cost of giving up effects not just myself and my family, but the world.

The women I could be helping and the people they would then help as an extension from the support I gave them.

You see, it’s all about the ripple effect.

Giving up on my dream means I’m also giving up on yours and every single time I thought about throwing in the towel, I remembered the great cost of giving up.

When did you decide you’d never make it?

When did you decide the life you desire wasn’t meant for you?

When did you decide that this is as good as it gets for you?

I’m seeing a whole heap of incredibly talented, intelligent, powerful women throwing in the towel because of their current circumstance.  They’re allowing their current “reality” be the reason they lose hope and give up completely.

But, here’s what they don’t know (or in the least they have forgotten):

What you SEE in front of you is merely a reflection of the beliefs you hold in your mind and in your heart. 

What you SEE in front of you is NOT an indication of what you are able to do unless you give up.

We’ve already talked about the cost of giving up, so why on earth would you allow yourself to give up on your dream, your vision, your desires, AND the very people that need you most???

I think it’s pretty clear that right now we need all the positive change-makers we can get rallying together with their gifts uplifting, inspiring, and supporting others and you are no different.

We NEED your light.

We NEED your power.

We NEED YOU to step up and see what you bring to this amazing world and you can’t do that by thinking that this is as good as it gets!
