It can all change in an instant…

Growing up I was keenly aware of the fact that life could change instantly, only then I expected it to change for the worse.  I was leery of moments that felt too good because it seemed like there was always something lurking around the corner ready to knock me off my high horse of happiness.

In fact, I grew so accustomed to seeing the bad things in life that I tried to plan for them before they ever happened.  You know the saying  “Plan for the worst, but hope for the best?”  Well I planned for and expected the worst and generally got it.

Looking back it’s a bit sad because while I had moments where I dreamed of it all working out the way I truly wanted it to, I never trusted that it could.

It took many years of growth, mindset work, and persistence to get to a place where I no longer expect the worst.  I now know that I get what I expect, thanks to my understanding of the Law of Attraction.

I am in a space in my life now where I know that everything can change for the better in an instant, but only if you are truly in the right frame of mind.

Everything we deal with in life is temporary.  The rain, sunshine, and cloudy days are all temporary and the same goes for the tough times.

There have been moments in the last year when my business wasn’t doing so well and I momentarily got stuck into my old way of thinking.  But, the moment I let go of that story and remembered that it could all change in the matter of one second, I lightened up.

I hold onto that thought to this day and I am always delighted to see how things change instantly for the better.

I want you to think about your life right now.  What are you struggling with?  In what ways are you expecting the worst and getting it?

What if you shifted your thoughts and remembered one simple fact that could change your life for the better?

It can all change in an instant, for the better so you better be prepared.

Having financial trouble that you just can’t quite see a way out of?

Hate your job, but don’t see any way out of it?

Living a life that is less than you desire, yet you don’t know what to do to move forward?

All of that can change in an instant and the good news is you don’t have to know how it will right now.  Simply know this to be true and follow your heart when the how appears.  That’s it!

Trust me when I say I have lived on both sides of this coin and knowing that everything can shift in a matter of seconds is an amazing feeling that provides hope for your future.

If you are looking for an opportunity to shift your mindset and begin taking steps to truly create the life you’ve always wanted, then hiring a coach may be your ‘how’.  I’m inviting you to schedule a free 30-minute consultation to chat about your situation and see if we are a good fit.  I have some exciting new ways to work with me coming up and I’d love to give you the inside scoop on our call.

Are you ready to change your life for the better?

When Things Don’t Work Out…

January 30, 2015 by Lamisha

power

Let’s be honest.

We all have expectations, goals, intentions, opportunities, insights, and a vision for how we want things to work out.

We set our hearts on a specific outcome with the painted picture in our minds of how things will all come together. Not only do we know what we want, we know exactly how we want it to happen.

Seems simple enough right?  Maybe even wise, but what happens when our exact vision doesn’t work out the way we wanted it to?

If you are like me (the old me), you might fall into a pit of despair wondering how in the world it could’ve happened and what you did wrong.

You might feel deep disappointment for what didn’t work out, all the while discounting everything that did.

You might even lose sight of the bigger picture and allow one tiny mis-step or perceived failure become the way you view your path and the world.

But here’s something to consider…

When it seems things aren’t working out, it often means something better is coming down the pike.

We can’t possibly know all the ways our dreams can come true.  Each and every day we have a very limited view of ‘how’ things can happen for us.  We look at our reality, the stuff right in front of us and find a logical path to take because we often believe we are in control.

The fact of the matter is we aren’t entirely in control.  We don’t know all the ways money can flow to us.  We don’t know all the contacts & opportunities that are in the world in any given moment so to believe we can find the BEST option on our own is a bit mis-guided.

Our job is not to figure out HOW all the time.  It’s to simply follow our intuitive guidance and to be open to all possibilities.

I’ll give you an example.

When I was working in the corporate world (in a job I hated I might add), I had this deep desire to work from home.  I had a co-worker at the time that was teaching online classes and I so desperately wanted to be able to work from home, I started applying.  I had zero interest in teaching, but the idea of working from home was so amazing, I couldn’t help but give it a try.

I applied & failed.

So, I kept looking.  I found it difficult to find a job that was happy to allow me to work from home without it being all spammy and used car salesman-like.  I got to a point where I just gave up my search altogether thinking I would never find a job I desired with the freedom I craved.

Turns out I was right.  I wasn’t going to FIND one…one was about to land in my lap with ease and grace.

About a month or two after I quit looking for the right work from home opportunity, I got a call from a previous coworker.  He had moved to another organization and they had an opening he thought I might be interested in.

I applied for it even though it was for a company located in another state…a state I had no plan on moving to.  Turns out the company was more focused on finding the right fit for the job and were willing to allow me to work from home.

THAT is what happens when you sit back and allow better things to come.  Had I been open to that option earlier on, it might have come sooner, but I am deeply grateful that it happened when it did.

You see, this manifestation stuff is amazing.  Things are ALWAYS working out for you as long as you believe it is and this isn’t just what I teach my clients, this is how I live on a daily basis.

I want to share that experience with you.  If you’re ready for a big change and want to learn how to manifest the life of your dreams, let’s chat.

What’s Too Good for YOU?

January 16, 2015 by Lamisha

So, I’ve been thinking a lot about manifesting and creating a life we love and I keep coming up against this common theme.  It’s something I remember thinking about a few years ago in a positivity training for a job I was working at the time.  We were given an exercise to think of our dream car.

As my fellow co-workers were scribbling away on their note cards, I was stumped. I didn’t have a dream car per se.  If it was reliable, had good gas mileage, and didn’t look too bad on the outside, it was a good option for me.  Up until that moment I’d never thought about what my dream car might be.

The facilitator apparently had come across this before and encouraged us to come up with our dream car regardless of how tough it might be.  Once I had an answer down (I don’t even remember at this point what that was), he asked a question that has stuck with me over the years.

What’s too good for you?

When we think about what we want in life, we often imagine what is ‘realistic’ and ‘logical’ for us based on what we know about our lives, income level etc.  When I was thinking of my dream car, a Rolls Royce didn’t quite match my vision.  In my mind that was something that was just too good for me.  (It also isn’t something I would want to drive now anyways.)

Several years later that question has come up in many conversations with clients.  Thinking of the life they would love to live, they begin using their logic to come up with what they desire.  When I tell them to throw logic to the wind, sometimes it’s still difficult to come up with the ideal life because there are things that just feel too good for them.

Why is that?

What is it about a life that feels amazing inside and out that scares us or causes us to pull back a bit?

Is it the fear of disappointment?

The thought we don’t deserve it?

Or maybe it’s just a matter of wondering if it’s possible to really have it all?

For so long we’ve been taught some messed up lessons about abundance, love, and living a happy life that we grow up thinking it’s only meant for some people, but certainly not us.

Lessons like: If you have love, be happy you have it because very few have love AND money.

We’ve been taught that it’s possible for a select few…the rich and famous, the extremely talented people that we see on television every day, but not little ‘ole us.

That’s a LIE.

We all have the same abilities to create and craft the amazing life of our dreams.  With love, abundance, success, joy, family, community, creativity, and freedom.  ALL OF US.

And as soon as you decide that you can have it all and that there is nothing too good for you, you will begin to see shifts happen almost instantly in your life. I promise.

This isn’t about having all the money in the world or driving the most expensive car.  This is about living a life that resonates with YOU.  That illustrates what is most important to you.  THAT is what the life of your dreams is about.

So, today I ask you…what’s too good for you to be, have, or do?

My answer? Nothing.

And if you are willing to make the decision to stand in your creative power to make your life all you have ever wanted, I have two things that may be of interest to you.

Hello 2015: I’m Ready!

January 6, 2015 by Lamisha

Hey Gorgeous,

How’s 2015 treating you so far?  Are you ready for this to be your best year yet?

I know I am.

Typically around this time of year, I am hitting the ground running on my planning, dreaming, and scheming for the year ahead.  I grab my Leonie workbook and light some candles and get busy filling in all the details of 2014 and do a big release of everything that no longer serves me mentally and physically.

This year was a bit different.  When the holidays rolled around, I was literally ill.  My entire family got sick around the same time and it’s taken me a few weeks to get back to my normal, healthy self.

Thankfully, I’m on the mend and was able to get busy on some super exciting things coming up that I will share with you soon. (I know, I know secrets, secrets are no fun, but this one is worth the wait!)

So, since I didn’t get a chance to say a big goodbye to 2014 and hit the ground running right out of the gate in 2015, I’m playing catch up.

And I’m ok with it.

In fact, it seems that while this year is going to be about massive action, risk taking, and dreaming (and living) in a big way, I am easing into the year.  Not only do I not make resolutions, but I am taking a bit more time to dream, set my intentions, and get clear on what 2015 means to me.

In years past, I’ve written a letter to my future self, created a vision board, and even set my theme for the year all before the new year even began.  This year, I’m doing things a little differently.

I’ve picked my themes for the year and they are: Going Pro (for my business of course) and to Live Big (in my personal life).  The underlying theme for both is to have FUN.

What’s life without a bit of fun, dreaming, and enjoying the ride right?  Have you set your theme for the new year?  Done some intention setting for what you want to manifest in the year ahead?  It almost feels like a beautiful blank sheet of paper that is so perfect, you almost don’t want to paint on it, but where’s the fun in that?

I want to hear about your BIG, BOLD, Dreams for 2015.  What are they?  Share in the comments below and let us support you and add fuel to the flame as we all get into action for our dreams to come to fruition.

In the meantime, if you are interested in taking your dreams to another level by hiring a coach, let’s schedule a free 30-minute consultation to chat about your vision and what you want to create for 2015.  It’s your time to shine! So, let’s get busy!

As we approach Christmas and the New Year, I have been doing lots of reflecting. Reflecting on the past year and dreaming big for the year ahead. I have lots of new posts brewing and ideas for how I want to show up in the world in the future. But before I do all that, I want you to know how grateful I am to you for supporting me through this journey. For reading my posts, commenting, sharing, and allowing me to be part of your journey. We are in this together and I am looking forward to an amazing year.

Wishing you all the best for the holidays and beyond. May you fill your heart with an amazing vision for what you want to create in 2015. I will be here supporting you every step of the way.

Big love to you all and Happy Holidays!
