Happy Thursday friends!

Update + A few of my FAVORITE things

December 14, 2016 by Lamisha

Hey Friends!!

It’s been a pretty busy few weeks and I am SO excited to share an update with you of some exciting things that I’ve been working on and other things to come in 2017.

First, let me say that I am TOTALLY pumped about the fact that we are officially in planning mode and I am waiting anxiously for the last blissful week of the year that I have officially deemed my “planning time” to dig into my goals, projections, and intentions for the year ahead.

If you don’t know this by now, I LOVE all of the newness that comes with a new week, month, and the ultimate new year and while I have absolutely zero plans of going out partying to ring in 2017 in a few weeks, I am still super pumped with what’s to come.

Every year around this time, I get really excited about receiving one of my FAVORITE planners of all time- Leonie Dawson’s Create Your Shining Year planners.  She has been creating these beautiful pieces of art to help wildly creative and soulful souls like me, set intentions, get clear on what you want to create and embrace in the new year and this year’s edition is GORGEOUS!

In fact, I was so excited about getting these that when she launched the pre-sale option in the summer, I jumped at the chance to get these little gems in my hand sooner rather than later.  Now, to be honest, I have yet to crack them open and dig in (that’s what the last week of the year is really going to be used for), but I have been thumbing through them and I couldn’t wait to share these with you!

A few of my favorite bits in these beauties:

  • She has 2 versions! A Life & Biz planner so if you are just getting started with all this intention stuff and you don’t have a business, no worries- snag the LIFE Planner and be on your way
  • The added desk diary!  She added this piece last year and I have to say that I’ve NEVER managed to use the same calendar/diary for an entire year until I used this one.  It comes fully equipped with a gratitude section, goal setting for each month, money goals and extra doodling space.
  • 100 Things to do in 2017!  In each of the planners you can create a list of 100 things you want to do in that year.  There’s no thing too big or small to include here so think of it as your individual annual bucket list if you will.  I always have a ton of fun coming up with new things I’ve never done before.  So cool!
  • Lots of lists!  In addition to the 100 things list, there are also sections for books you want to read, new things you want to try, ways to shift/change your body, mind, and soul and so much more.  She really includes all kinds of fun stuff.
  • It’s totally balanced!  I love how Leonie really focuses on balance for your life.  While I lean more toward the business planner, both have a wide variety of topics in the life version including creativity, soul, mind, body, family, relationships, finances, and home.  The business version includes sections for finances, creating a shining team, systems, boundaries, education, customers, marketing etc.

So, I think it’s safe to say these beauties are by FAR my favorite planners.  I’ve used them consistently over the last 3 years in my business and I plan on continually purchasing them.

If you know anything about the MOST successful people around the world you know that they set goals, measure them, focus on them, and have some sort of system in place to set their intentions to begin with.  THIS is my secret weapon and I’m sharing it with you!

I highly recommend these to my clients and am currently offering a special bonus for anyone who purchases them through my affiliate link.  By doing so, I may receive a small commission and YOU get free entry into my 2017 Vivid Visioning course starting in January.

The truth is I love these planners and if you are in my tribe, I know you will too so take a look and grab yours NOW before they are all sold out!

Order by December 15th and get yours by Christmas.

Order by the 20th and get your BONUS 2017 Vivid Visioning program FREE!

The day FEAR almost won…

The day FEAR almost won, happened just last week.

The scenario is one I see my clients struggle with every single day and yet, I had been so far removed from it myself I almost forgot what it felt like…until last week.

Recently I’ve been feeling the call to get back to writing on a regular basis.  To write from the heart and share my message authentically and with purpose.  Over the past few months it hasn’t felt like the right time or the right moment to write and to be honest, I didn’t have a ton of inspiration to do so, yet I made the commitment in my mind and I knew the time would come for me to write again…and it did.

Last week, our world was hit with more violence and protests that brought up a TON of emotion for so many people, myself included.  I had a visceral response to it all and I felt called to write about it, only I was afraid.

You see, this work that I do…it’s more than just a career for me.  It’s my mission.  It’s my calling.  It’s my gift to the world and when I see that the world is crumbling in turmoil and I feel inspired and called to speak, write, or share on the topics, I can’t ignore it.

My business is my platform in a way and from day one I’ve committed to using that platform to promote peace, understanding, compassion, non-judgement, love, and joy in all areas.  But, it also means sometimes I have to do things that are uncomfortable for me to do.  Say things I’m uncomfortable to say, and share a message that may not be popular and last week I did just that.

I wrote an article that came directly from my heart and soul.  The words poured out of my fingers and onto the computer with ease.  There was no question of what needed to come through, but a part of me was afraid to write it.

To be honest, an even bigger part of me was afraid NOT to write it.  So, I continued writing and when I was finished I submitted it for publication.

When I first wrote it, I wasn’t exactly clear on where it would end up.  All I knew was that I needed to write it.  Once it was complete, the next step seemed obvious and after I hit “submit”, the fear set in.

“What will people think?”

“It’s so different from what I write! What if people hate it?”

“What if people hate me?”

“What if…”

The FEAR just wouldn’t go away and yet there was a part of me that knew it was all going to be ok.

I followed my inspiration and I knew that it would be ok.  I just knew it.

After a few hours or so, I forgot about the fear of ‘what if’ and honestly forgot I had submitted the article completely.  A few hours later, I received an email letting me know my piece was accepted for publishing and that I would be notified once it had been published.

I was shocked. Afraid. Worried. And funny enough I was proud.

I was proud that I had once again followed my intuition and inspiration and I had not let fear win.

I was proud that I was walking my talk and doing the things that scare me, even when I’m unsure of how it will all work out, but even more so, because I listened, I took action, and I let go.

The actual article has yet to be published, but as soon as it is, I’ll update this post for you so you can read it in all it’s glory.

The moral of this story is this:

Fear may try to stop you from doing the very thing that will move you closer to your vision.  Don’t let it. Follow your intuition, take that big action and trust that it’s all working out in your favor, even when you can’t see the entire path.

My question for you today: What is it that you are MOST afraid to do, but you know you NEED to do?

My advice…go do that!

Why are you settling??? It’s time to break FREE.

***Before I get into today’s post, I want to invite you to check out my latest article that has been a huge hit over at The Huffington Post titled : 6 Ways to Find Your Passion & Live Your Purpose. ***

Now for today’s post.

I’ve noticed something over the last few years and it’s really getting under my skin. In fact,  it has become so prevalent and obvious in the last few months I want to set the record straight

Somehow, we have become a culture that believes that while you can have a mostly awesome life, you can’t have everything you want no matter how how hard you try.

There are many people who have come to accept that if you have a fabulous career you love, your relationships have to suck.

OR If you have an amazing relationship, you can’t have all the riches your heart desires.

OR If you have all the money you desire, you might have to enjoy it all alone. (The list goes on. )

It’s as if they believe they are undeserving of having it all and living the life of their dreams is some myth that only happens in fairy tales.

Well I call bullshit.

Who are you not to have it all?

Who are you not to have the love, the riches, the joy, the career, the family, the fame, and anything else your heart desires?

That is what life is all about.  Living, loving, sharing, expanding, and experiencing all that life has to offer.

Do you know what happens when you believe that you can’t have it all?

You settle.

You settle for the parts of your life that aren’t working because you believe that if most of your life is going well, who are you to complain?

But I’m here to tell you this; You don’t have to settle and you certainly don’t have to accept that because 80% of your life IS working that the remaining 20%  has to remain a struggle.

Now, I’ll be honest and say that I USED to think that way.

I thought that if my business was booming and money was flowing that my relationship had to take a fall.  Or if things were really amazing in my love life, then my business and income had to tank.

And you know what happened?  I manifested those very things.

When things were running smoothly in my relationship and in life in general, I somehow sabotaged things in my career.  And when I had a really amazing month in my business, I’d start an argument with my partner.

It as as if I just couldn’t handle all the good at once and I had to have something to worry about.

It took a few years of learning, growing, and lots of life lessons to get to this point, but now I see it and can make changes in my mindset and in my beliefs when I start feeling myself settling.

The truth is, you CAN work through the BS that is holding you back no matter how long you’ve struggled with it…but it’s difficult to do alone.

Lucky for you, this is my specialty and is the EXACT reason I set up the 30-Day Break Free From Stuck program.

If you feel:

  • Like you are settling in your career, relationship, or life in general
  • STUCK in one area of your life that just isn’t working for you
  • Like you’ve done all you can and still can’t make that last 20% of your life work for you

It’s time we had a chat.  I am a firm believer in reaching out and asking for help and I’ve seen amazing miracles happen when I’ve done that myself.

If you are ready to break free and make magic happen in your life once and for all, schedule a free 30-Minute Consultation to chat about what’s going on.

Intention is Everything

March 21, 2014 by Lamisha

INTENTION

Can I tell you a secret that’s not so secret?

Intention is Everything!

At the beginning of the year I told you I was working on the lovely Leonie Dawson’s Create Your Amazing Year 2014 planner.  I completed most of the it for both business and personal life and one of the exercises included making a list of 100 things you want to do for the year.  To be honest the task seemed a bit difficult at first because I allowed my logical mind to get in the way, but once I got started I had lots of fun things added.  Things like getting a facial, hiking, reading 100 books, writing an e-book, and dancing in the rain.  I’m not even sure if I have made it quite to 100 yet as I am still adding to it, but you get the idea.

So, after really focusing on what I wanted to create for 2014 and allowing myself the flow as far as ‘how’ it would show up, I put the planner away and kept moving through every day life.  Every now and again I will pick it up and read through it to see if there are any exercises that I still need to complete that call to me.  Sometimes they do, sometimes they don’t, but one day in January I did this and took a look at my 100 things list.

I was astonished!!!

I realized that within the first month of the year without even trying, I had accomplished two things on my list.  They weren’t big things like going to Hawaii (which requires a bit of forethought and planning).  They were small things that simply happened.

What were they?

One was ice skating with my family and another was to have a game night with the neighbors.  Small, but super-fun things that I loved!

Now those two things might seem inconsequential as far as setting an intention, but I must tell you I haven’t been ice-skating in years! And the idea to have a game night with the neighbors came from left field considering we have never done that in the 3 years we have lived here.

All I did was think “hey that would be fun”, and I wrote it down.  I set the intention that these were things I wanted to do and by not planning, scheming or figuring out how it was going to happen, I did both of them within a month!

Even with all the evidence I have had over the years, I know better than to question the magical ways of the Universe.  But, there was a part of me that thought it was just a small occurrence.  That is, until a few weeks later.

I had been putting a lot of time and energy into my business.  I booked some new clients and was participating in an e-course and got the idea to create a group coaching model for my clients.  This would provide tons of information and insight for people interested in coaching at a much cheaper rate overall in a group setting.  Full of inspiration, I reached out to a lovely group of women I met online and asked for volunteers to test my model.  The Your Flying Leap test group has been going great and you guessed it the next time I checked in with my planner, I had an entry that read ‘create a group coaching offer’.

Now you could argue that as a business woman I would know all of the things I wanted to do and you would be right to some degree.  But, the sheer ease with which it came together based entirely on my inspired thoughts is amazing.  I didn’t think about it.  I didn’t create the program for 2-3 months before trying it with a test group for free.  Nope, I just asked who would be interested and I jumped in.  Since then, the pieces have been coming together quite easily.  (Note: I will be sharing more information on how you can join this program that begins again in May.  Join my VIP list to get the scoop first if you are interested.)

And you know the amazing program I am taking part of called Unleash Your Personal Power?  That happened as easily and effortlessly as the others and it too was on my list of 100 things to do.  The kicker is I didn’t even reach out to these amazing professionals.  I was asked to join this venture seemingly out of the blue and I can’t tell you how much fun it has been to create and what a great time we are having. If you haven’t checked it out, please do!  This program is valued at $1000 and we are offering it at a mere $85.  And while you can’t really put a price on the life changing tips, tools and information you will learn, this is an incredible offer.  unleashvaluepic

The takeaway from all of this is that when you sent your intention to do something and you just ride the wave of allowing, amazing things happen for you.  If you haven’t tried it, I encourage you to whip out a piece of paper and write your own list of 100 things you want to do this year.  Big, small, or medium it doesn’t matter, I assure you that by writing it down and letting it go, the pieces will fall into place in seemingly miraculous ways.

Try it! What do you have to lose?

I hope you have a bit of fun this weekend and find some time to just relax.  Self-care is such an important part of life and many of us don’t do it enough!  Until next week, thank you for reading and have a lovely weekend.

P.S. If you haven’t signed up for the Creative Chaos call on 3/26 at 12pm EST there is still time to do so.  I will be sending out the materials with the call info next week so don’t miss out!  It’s totally free. 🙂
