There are lots of reasons you shouldn’t give up, but only 1 reason you should.

In the last two years of my business there have been moments when I seriously thought about throwing in the towel.  Moments when I thought I’d be better off dropping my dream all together and jumping back into the work force.

It wasn’t because I didn’t love what I was doing.  Not at all.

It was because things got hard, I got frustrated, and I felt lost.

I felt stuck and instead of listening to my intuition, I ignored it entirely.

Instead of asking for help or allowing it in, I thought I had to do it all by my little lonesome.

In short, it sucked!

And as I write this I am getting ready to celebrate my 2 year anniversary in my business in just a few days and I couldn’t be happier! I can’t believe I made it this far and what was once only a dream is now my current reality.

I had a TON of reasons I could’ve quit before.  I could’ve quit because:

  • Money wasn’t flowing
  • Potential clients were saying ‘No thanks’
  • Things got really hard
  • I didn’t know how to move forward
  • I was afraid I’d put all of my passion and it wouldn’t ‘work’

But despite it all, ultimately, I loved what I was doing.

When I get calls from clients telling me they took their big leap into something they never thought possible, I remember my why.

When I cry with clients as they have amazing breakthroughs and aha’s because I can relate to them so much, I remember my why.

And when I have that first call with a potential client who is sharing with me their hopes and desires for what they hope their life will become with my help, I remember my why.

The truth is this work that I do is far more than just a business.  It’s my passion and purpose and despite the fact that things have at times looked as though they weren’t ‘working’, that passion has never ceased.

When you are moving in the direction of your dreams with passion in your heart and purpose in your soul, there will be lots of moments of learning, growing, and evolving.

There will be times when you want to quit.  Times when everything on the outside looks broken and you wonder if it will ultimately work.

There will be many, many, many reasons to throw in the towel as you wonder if you are strong enough, smart enough, or if you are doing enough to make your dreams come true.

And the ONLY time you should quit, is if that passion and purpose have gone.

When your heart isn’t in it and the love for your vision transforms into something else as it may, that is the only time you should ‘quit’.

But honestly, that isn’t even quitting in my book.  That is simply a transformation of a dream into another vision that lights you up and sets your soul on fire and that can never be deemed a failure nor are you a quitter.

Dreams unfold and transform as much as we do and while you may have many reasons to ‘quit’, don’t do it unless your heart truly isn’t in it.

Keep going.  Keep reaching.  Keep dreaming and trust in the passion in your heart.  When you do…magic happens.

2 Questions You Need to Ask Yourself Today

There are 2 things I ask every single client and they are questions I am going to challenge you to ask yourself today.

But, before you do that, I want you to know that the answers you give to these questions will indeed change your life for the better.

And I would venture to say that these are questions you may not have thought to ask yourself before now.

1. What do I want?

This sounds like a very obvious question to ask especially if your interest is to create a life you love, because how can you create a life you love if you don’t know what you want?  But, most people simply settle for what they have in their current reality.  They may desire a bit more money, more free time, and a few more vacations but other than that, they don’t think much about what it is that they want.

So, what do you want?  What does your dream life look like?  If I had a magic wand and I could give you exactly what you are asking for in full detail right this very moment, would you have the clarity to make the most out of your one wish?  Chances are you wouldn’t.  Today I challenge you to grab a journal or a piece of paper and write down exactly what you want out of life.  Focus in full detail on how you want to feel and how that looks in life for you.  What are your key emotional markers for the life of your dreams?

2. What do I need to do right now that I’ve been avoiding?

Most people think that the answers they are seeking lie outside of them and they must go find them.  That’s actually not an accurate depiction of where your answers are.  The answers you seek lie within you, right here, right now.  And when most of us feel stuck in a rut or like we are on the hamster wheel of life, we overlook the thing we know we need to do get us moving forward again.

So, what is it you need to do right now that you’ve been avoiding?  I asked this question to a client who was feeling pretty stuck in a certain situation.  After a brief pause, she had listed 3 things she needed to do to move forward and they were things she had been avoiding out of fear, anxiety, and just plain worry.  Whatever answer you get to this question, go do it.  Take action and watch the Universe work its magic to help support you in your cause.  I promise that is the secret to creating a life you love.

Your Limitless Life

It took me many years to come to the realization that I am capable of creating my life experience.

I wasn’t always like this.  It took me many years of believing I was bound by my circumstances and experiencing that in my everyday life before I started looking for another way.

You see, on the inside I knew that I had the power, but there was a part of me that doubted it.  I thought I was destined for the mediocrity that is adulthood.

Work, bills, responsibility and that’s it.

The creativity I craved and the joy I knew was waiting for me was at one time just a pipe dream.  A figment of my imagination that I created to get through each day.

What I know now is that we are each given a limitless life.

One that allows us to create, craft, form, build, and enjoy anything we desire.  We have the power to manifest amazing experiences and that is what life is all about.  It’s about growing, evolving, becoming more of who we are.

We peel back the layers to uncover more false beliefs that are holding us back and more authenticity in how we live, connect, and share with one another.

YOU have this same limitless life.

YOU have the power to change.

YOU are tapped into a universal grid of power that with a bit of intention and focus, will change your life and the world.

YOU have all you need, right here and right now.

The fear, anxiety, worry, frustrations, and doubts that tell you, you don’t…well they are lying to you.

I speak from experience when I say…anything is possible.

I never dreamed of creating a business empowering women to create a life of passion, purpose, and joy.  I couldn’t fathom ever working on my own, being my own boss, AND loving what I do.  I didn’t think I had the energy, focus, or  knowledge to make it happen.  I just didn’t know what was possible…until I did.

Until one day my heart and soul screamed so loudly I couldn’t ignore it another moment.  For years I settled.  For years I succumbed to what I was ‘supposed’ to do and ignored what I was meant to do.

Until one day when everything clicked and I knew, I had to leap.

Everyday I am blessed to work with women with their own vision.  They are led to me because they have listened to the call of their soul and they respond.  They are ready.  They are inspired and awake enough to receive the support that I am able to provide and everyday I get to do this work I am forever grateful.  Because with every limitless life I help to change, I am changing my own.

The Formula is Simple…

I have this very simple, yet extremely effective way of finding out what you are meant to do AND allowing that to lead you to the life of your dreams.

Are you ready for it?

The formula is simple…Do what you love.

This idea isn’t new at all and there are tons of professionals out there telling you to do the very same thing.

So why are there so many people NOT doing what they love?

The simple answer is that they don’t think they can.

They think that if you do what you love you are being lazy or you can’t make money and support a family doing what you love.  But, I am making it my life’s mission to show each and every client I work with that it not only IS possible, but it is also NECESSARY.

We are not given this amazing life to work crazy hours doing things we hate.  We aren’t meant to struggle and worry about getting up and going to a J-O-B we despise.

The fact of the matter is we all have gifts to share with the world and they are incidentally connected and directly related to the very thing you love doing.

This isn’t rocket science…the formula is just that simple.

Identify what you love to do…and go do it.

No excuses. No worries.  No wondering how you will make it happen.  Like Nike said…Just do it!

I have 100% faith in every single person that I chat with about what they want to do with their lives, sometimes more than they have faith in themselves.

The mere fact that you have a dream means it’s possible…it’s the law of the Universe.  My mom always used to say “Where there’s a will, there’s a way.” and I fully believe that.

If you want to live the happy, fulfilling, amazing, life of your dreams…do it.  It’s 100% possible and once you make the decision to make it happen, it becomes 100% probable.

The When/Then Manifesting Pitfall

When you think of your happiness and what it takes for you to live a happy life, do you find that you mostly feel that way in the present?

Or, do you find yourself falling into what I call the When/Then Manifesting Pitfall.

We all know that when we want to create or manifest a specific thing (be it a career, money, a relationship etc.) it is because we think it will make us feel good.  We search for happiness and want certain things in our lives to feel fulfilled, worthy, and blissful.  But when we are in the process of creating or manifesting those things, we often find ourselves feeling antsy, uncomfortable, and impatient.

We might look around asking “Well where is it?”. 

And if you are like me you might be saying…“When I have the money/car/relationship/career/body I want…THEN I’ll be happy/grateful/fulfilled etc.”

Unfortunately, that’s not how it works.

When you are in manifesting mode, you have to first know that it is coming and enjoy the process.

I have one too many times fallen into the habit of taking score of what I want and how long it takes to get here.  All the while I am missing all of the amazing things around me.  At times in my life I have been a conditional happy person, meaning under certain conditions I would be happy.  (Mostly when things were going really well.)

Falling into the When/Then Pitfall is so easy in our world.  We are constantly on the look out for the next thing to bring about joy that we miss the very thing in front of us that could make us happy now.  And the crazy thing is that in order to manifest what you want, you have to be happy first.

What the career of your dreams? Make peace with the job you have.

What more money? Be grateful for the money you have and enjoy where you are.

What a better relationship? Appreciate the positive aspects your partner brings to the table and simply be happy.

The best thing you can do when you are trying to manifest anything, is start by focusing on what brings you joy in all aspects of your life. 

Find your joy with the in-between time.  As the details are coming together and you haven’t yet reached the ultimate manifestation, know that it is coming and choose joy, happiness, and bliss now.  After all life is to be lived and enjoyed in the present as opposed to some arbitrary moment in the future.

Life is meant to be loved, enjoyed, and appreciated in the moment…always.  Don’t wait for the future to live the life of your dreams…start now with the little moments.

Your action step for the day is to be mindful of all the joy, happiness, and blissful moments you have right in front of you.  Notice them, appreciate them, and welcome them with open arms.  When you do that, I guarantee all those things you have been wanting to manifest will come that much quicker. 🙂
