Friday 5: The “M” Edition

February 7, 2020 by Lamisha

Happy Friday Friends!

It has been a GREAT first week of February and I hope you all are enjoying the month so far.  Lots of things happening for the shortest month of the year, but I’ll share more about all that a bit later.  For now, let’s talk about some of my little nuggets of wisdom from the week.

The “M” edition of your Friday 5:

1.  Make it a game…

One of the things I’ve said multiple times this week is simply “make it a game”.  What do you need to make a game? Well…anything and everything.  One of the things I see tripping people up more often than not is that they take their goals, desires, and pursuits so damn serious.  Yes, they are important. Yes, they may feel “big” and urgent to you, but that serious “I need to do this now or else” mentality is killing your vibe. So, if you are one of those people feeling the pressure of doing the thing and doing it right this second…stop.  Make it a game.  Get a little playful and watch the ease, flow, and magic unfold.   How can you be more playful in your life this week?

2. Move…

No, I’m not telling you to pack up your stuff and move out of your home, but I am telling you to MOVE.  So many of us came into the year with that attitude that this year would be bigger, better and different and the only way that is going to happen is if we MOVE.  I’m not saying do it all at once or to act haphazardly, but I am saying if you want change, you must move.  Move on that business idea you’ve been thinking about.  Move your body. Move the old stuff out of your life and your mind to make room for what you truly want.  Just move. Follow your intuition and move where you feel called.  I promise you won’t be sorry you did.

3.  More than enough.

This week I’ve been seeing and hearing a lot of talk around there not being “enough”.  Whether it’s not enough time, money, resources, votes, clients, customers etc.  The idea is the same…there’s just not enough.  Allow me to drop a little truth bomb for you…there is only a “lack” of something if you believe there is so if you’re seeing “not enough”, it’s time to shift your thoughts.  There are more than enough clients, people, customers, resources etc. in the world if you choose to believe in that way.  In fact, I encourage you to actively look for signs that there is more than enough.  I promise you will be astounded to find just how much there is to go around.

4.  Motivation doesn’t create consistency…mindset does.

Real talk: I don’t always feel “motivated” to do the things that I know will get me closer to my desires.  I certainly am not “motivated” to get up early and work out, do my mindset work, or do all the things I know will keep me moving forward toward my goals.  Ultimately the thing that keeps me going each day is the mindset I create and cultivate each and every day.  My mindset is such that the small steps I take each day add up and create the very momentum and flow I need in my life to succeed.  Success isn’t about staying motivated.  Success is about mindset and momentum. And if one or more of those areas are lacking for you, it’s time for us to chat.

5.  Master the moment.

Life can get super busy (believe me it’s getting pretty crazy in my world at the moment too) and one of the challenges I see so many people struggling with is thinking too far into the future.  When we think about, analyze, micromanage, and try to plan for “all the things” it has a tendency to send your energy into overload. Yes, we want things to work out and while I know it can be hard to trust the process and trust that things will fall into place when there are so many moving parts, you just have to do it.  The best way I’ve found is by mastering the moment.  Basically focus on what is in front of you and don’t get too far ahead of yourself.  Everything is working out for you, I promise!  Now, what do you need to be focused on right this very second? Get to it!

Well that’s it for this week’s edition of your Friday 5. I hope this week’s highlights have been helpful for you!

Have a great weekend!

Am I ready for this???

February 5, 2020 by Lamisha

We are officially into the second month of 2020 and I’m going to be honest…it’s freaking me out just a bit.

2020 is a big year in so many ways and with a big move coming up for my family & some other big changes to follow, I’ve found myself swinging between over the moon excited & overwhelmed with all the things.

There is no doubt in my mind that the momentum is speeding up for us all and with that comes a lot of growth, expansion, and opportunities for us to put our money where our mouth is so to speak.  And while most of me is trusting the process, there is a tiny (old voice) in my mind asking…

“Am I really ready for this???”
To which I typically respond…”Ready or not, here it comes!”

The more I think about all the upcoming changes, the more I start thinking about the idea of being “ready” for change.  There have been so many times in my life when I have resisted change simply because I didn’t think I was “ready” for it.

I resisted starting this business because I didn’t think I was quite “ready” to be my own boss.

I resisted redoing my website because I didn’t think I was “ready” to make that kind of investment.

I resisted hiring a coach because I didn’t think I was “ready” to step up to the plate.

The list goes on.

Now that I’m approaching yet another big change in my life, I realize it’s less about being “ready” for the change and more about overcoming the fear of the unknown.

Change often means stepping into unknown territory and learning to trust the process.

Trust is something I am learning to do more and more every day.  It hasn’t always come naturally for me, but the more I lean on my faith and trust that things are always working out for me (and for you), the more I see evidence to support that idea.

The truth is, change can be uncomfortable and scary but most of the time, it can be more uncomfortable if we simply stay where we are.

So let me ask you this…

What if nothing changes?

What if 2020 turns out to be 2019’s twin?
What if your dreams & desires, simply stay dreams and desires?
What if you continue to wait to be “ready” before you take the action to get started?

What if?

Don’t get me wrong, you always have a choice to stay exactly where you are right now and if that is your choice…own it! Live it, love it, and embrace it.

But, if the reason you are staying where you are is because you’re not sure you are “ready”, ask yourself how/when will you know you’re ready? What are you really waiting for?

Maybe the question isn’t ever about being ready.

Maybe it’s simply about being willing to embrace all that comes with the changes of life and choosing to trust the process as we lean into flow.

As for my change…it’s happening and I’m excited.  And while there are what feels like a million things I still have to do in a short amount of time, I will continue to trust the process and know that everything is always working out for me (and you).

Big things are waiting for you in 2020 if you are willing to step into the unknown.

Chances are you’re already feeling the nudge to expand, take the leap and dive into your dreams and if you’re looking for some accountability and mindset support to keep you moving forward, hit the link here and let’s chat!

Friday Five: Sand & Stars, Universal Delivery & More

January 31, 2020 by Lamisha

Happy Friday Friends!

It’s that time again!  Time to share my top 5 thoughts, interests, and reminders from the past week.  I hope you find them insightful and entertaining. 🙂

Onward and upward!

1.  The Universe delivers…

This week I was reminded that the Universe indeed delivers.  When you “ask” it is given, even if you don’t necessarily know “what” you need in the moment.  Just about every client I work with finds me in some of the most curious ways and most don’t even remember how they end up on my website.  What they tell me is that when they finally got there, they knew they needed to reach out to me, even if they didn’t intend on working with me initially.  This is just one example of how the Universe delivers exactly what we need, even if we don’t know “what” it is.  Whatever you’ve been asking for know that the Universe always delivers.

2. Sand & Stars…

This month I’ve really been getting back into my productive swing of things and I was reminded of the power that comes from both sand and stars.  Sand being the logical, practical, daily things we can do to move us forward on our path.  Stars being the belief, trust, and faith that is needed in order to keep going despite the way things may look in any given moment.  The combination of the two offers a magical mixture that one on its own can’t match.  Check in with yourself and see where you tend to focus your efforts.  If you’re on one side or the other, I encourage you to try the magical combination for yourself and see how it goes.

3.  Feel the feels.   Juggling life, business, parenting, and a (soon to be) massive move has been a bit of a challenge over the last few months.  This week in particular was challenging in the parenting department and I found myself all up in my feelings.  Instead of resisting them and trying to just power through, I gave myself a bit of time to feel the feels.  I allowed them the space to ebb and flow and afterward I felt 100x better.  Feelings are powerful communicators and they are nothing to be feared.  The key is to simply feel them and let them go so they don’t get stuck and cause more trouble than they need to.  Feel the feels friends.

4.  The return on investing in you!  There is no greater return on investment than the one that comes from investing in YOU.  Just this week, I had a client tell me she manifested more than double her investment within hours of signing up for the 2020: New Year, New Normal program.  I also had another client tell me he received 200-300% return on his investment in our 1:1 work together.  Investing in yourself is one of the best things you can do for your personal development journey.  Is it time for you to get some support and invest in your journey?

5.  It is as you believe it to be.  Just a final reminder that your life is created directly from your beliefs.  So, if you believe it’s “not working”, then it’s not working.  The same goes for anything else.  Shift your inner dialogue to one that empowers your journey.  Believe that things are working out for you.  Trust that you are on the right path and what you need is on the way to you.  Have faith in the process for that is what will deliver the results that you want.  What do you believe???

Have a wonderful weekend!

Let this be your leap…

January 30, 2020 by Lamisha

I’ve been thinking a lot about that message I shared regarding the Impala last week (if you haven’t seen it, check out my Friday 5 post here) and it’s got me thinking all about taking BIG leaps.

The truth is this…

If you want to create a different experience in your life, you have to be willing to do something different and sometimes that means leaping without seeing exactly where you will land.

It means following your intuition, heart and gut to do the often scary and uncomfortable things to get you to where you want to be.

So many times in my life (including now) I’ve been called to take a leap without knowing exactly where I would land and while it was scary at the time, it brought me to exactly where I was meant to be.

–>In 2007 I took a massive leap of faith as I packed up all of my belongings and moved 300+ miles to TN for love. It’s 2020 and we have been together 14 years!

–>In 2009 we took a massive leap of faith when we put in an offer to buy a house together (something I never thought I could do <—clearly my mindset has grown leaps and bounds since then) and now that home is an investment property.

–>In 2013 I took another giant leap and started my coaching business only to get laid off from my then full-time job a few months later.  Today, I’ve been in business for almost 7 years and I’ve never looked back.

2020 is already full of lots of leaps for myself and my family (I’ll be sharing more about that soon), but the point is…life is all about the leaps when you want to expand your life and truly make your dreams a reality.

The things you desire for 2020 and beyond will require a leap of faith & I speak from experience when I say it’s best to take the leap of faith when you have support along the way.

–> Maybe you’re tired of trying to do it the “hard” way, but it’s all you know how to do.

–>Maybe you’re at the end of your rope and you now realize the old way of doing things just isn’t working anymore.

–> Maybe you are being called to a vision much bigger than you ever thought possible for your life and you’re ready to level up in a big way.

If you resonate with any of the above, let this be your leap in 2020.

2020 already has a feeling of massive expansion, but you have to say YES to the things that are calling to you even if you don’t yet know ‘how’ it’s all going to come together.

I promise, the moment you decide that things are going to change for the better and you follow that up with faith in action, the Universe will deliver your next steps. Maybe this is it.

Friday Five: Save The Date & Why You Shouldn’t Be Like An Impala

January 19, 2020 by Lamisha

Happy Friday Friends!

It’s that time again!  Time to share my top 5 thoughts, interests, and reminders from the past week.  I hope you find them insightful and entertaining. 🙂

Let’s do this…

1.  SAVE THE DATE!!!! On Monday January 20th @ 7:30pm EST, I am going to be hosting a FREE masterclass sharing some Uncommon Tips to Conquer 2020 and beyond and I’d love for you to be there!  Make sure you make it LIVE as I have some fun surprises up my sleeve…could it be a giveaway, gifts, or bonuses?  You’ll just have to stop by and find out!

2. “One step, one punch at a time.”  I don’t know about you but this year has been full of “all the things” and I’ve been feeling a bit overwhelmed at times. This past week while I was dealing with scheduling doctor appointments, dealing with a sick pup and some paperwork snafus, I heard this quote (from the movie Creed) playing in the back of my mind.

“One step, one punch at a time.”  It’s not about trying to think about and do all things at once.  Focus on what’s in front of you and trust that it’s all working out for you.  As soon as I did that, I felt 100% better!

3.  Remember who you are.   One of the things that makes us forget our true power more than anything is fear.  Fear tends to pop up when we are dealing with those uncomfortable or overwhelming “life” moments and it often causes us to shrink.

When we remember who we truly are (aka powerful co-creators who get to be, have, and do whatever we choose), we don’t have to let fear run the show.  We can simply remember that we don’t have to figure it all out right now.  Sometimes the best thing to do is lean back and allow the Universe to show us the next best step.

4.  Trust yourself.  For a long time I was told “All the answers you need lie within you.” and I can’t tell you how frustrated it made me.  Try as I might, I felt like I couldn’t access any of the “answers” that supposedly dwelled within my being.  Looking back now I realize, I had access to the answers but I just didn’t trust them.

This is something I see often and I just want to remind you to trust yourself a bit more.  Tune into your inner guidance and get acquainted with how your messages come through.  The more you do it, the easier it will be to access when you need it most.

5.  Don’t be an impala!  This past week I learned that the incredible African Impala can leap 10 feet in the air and 30+ feet forward but it can’t escape an enclosure with 3 ft walls surrounding it.  How can that be? Doesn’t it know how powerful it is? Doesn’t it know how high and far it can leap? Maybe. Maybe not.

The reason it can be contained is because an impala won’t leap if it can’t see where their feet will land.  If they can’t see with full certainty where they will land (and that they will be safe)…they won’t leap.  How many of us choose to stay contained simply because we lack the faith that our feet will land on solid ground when we do?
Don’t be an impala.  Take the LEAP & TRUST your landing.

Are you ready to LEAP into a New Normal for 2020?

–>Are you tired of the same story of lack that infects your financial story?

–>Are you done with the setting the same intentions year after year and getting no where?

–>Are you sick of settling for mediocre when you were meant for magic?
If so the 2020: New Year, New Normal program is for YOU
This is the leap you’ve been looking for AND if you sign up TODAY you get a bonus 1:1 session with me!

Have a wonderful weekend!
