There’s no going back…

April 2, 2020 by Lamisha

Life as we know it is changing and transforming before our very eyes and while we are currently in what I like to call the “hallway” of  the transition (literally between two worlds), it’s important to recognize that it is changing for the better.

I’ve been hearing a lot of people talking about things getting “back to normal” regarding work, school, or just everyday living and each time I hear it, there’s a message that pops up.

There’s no going back.

Not only is that true because things are always changing anyway and we don’t really “go back” to anything, it’s true because what we are being invited to do now is to create a NEW NORMAL both collectively and individually.

There are a lot of things in our lives and world that just weren’t working and for far too long so now we have an opportunity to make a change.  We are literally being forced to sit with ourselves, be in the moment and feel what we need to feel in order to find our way forward.

This is both a massive gift and for some (ahem myself) sometimes a bit of a challenge, but I believe it’s what is needed for us all to expand and level up together.

In fact, the more I sit with this “in between” space, the more I am realizing two things…

1.  BE-ing in each moment is incredibly powerful & I’m experiencing so many beautiful manifestations & synchronicities that prove that the Universe has our backs.

2. We get to create our new normal starting NOW.

Earlier this year, I created the 2020: New Year, New Normal group program and when I was inspired to create it, I had no idea this would be a theme for us all.  (Looking back at it now, maybe the program should have been called New World: New Normal.)

The more I connect with my clients & community in the Mindpower Membership group, the more I am realizing we have a huge opportunity right now to be intentional about the new normal that we are creating for ourselves individually that will then connect to what we create collectively.

And I’m really excited about a NEW 1:1 coaching program that is set up to help YOU create your own New Normal through this collective expansion we are going through.

<New Normal 1:1 >

A Custom Coaching Program

What is it?

A customized 1:1 coaching program to help you find the message in the mess & create a new normal for your life (or business) moving forward.

What’s included?

Because this is a custom program it will vary for everyone.  You will likely receive a combination of 1:1 calls, video messaging support, membership access & additional resources/programs to help you along the way.

What’s the investment?

Again, this will vary depending on what we set up and how long we work together, however monthly programs begin at about $150/month.

How do I sign up?

If you’re interested in this program the first thing for you to do is book your Free 30-Minute Consultation so we can chat. (Make sure you note in the “other” section of the questionnaire that you are interested in the custom program.)  This will allow me to assess where you are, identify how I can support you & then I can put together a custom plan for us moving forward.

How many places are available?

I am opening 3 spots for this custom program to begin.  Since I’ve never done a 1:1 program this way, this will give me a chance to see how it goes and then I can open more places in the future.  So, if you are interested in this program please make sure you book your consultation as soon as possible.

I know that change can be scary and at times leave us feeling a bit insecure about the future, but in all the chaos that has unfolded in the last several weeks, this much I know.

What we are creating collectively beyond this is bigger and better than we could ever imagine.

I hope you feel that in your bones too.  However, if you are unsure or you are looking for some support shifting your focus and making those changes in your own life, please consider this program and book your chat below.

Friday 5: Top lessons from this week

How are you holding up?

It’s been another interesting week full of lessons, realizations and lots and lots of feelings.  So, for this week’s Friday 5 I thought I’d share some of my takeaways from the week. Ready?

Friday 5: My top 5 lessons from this week…

1. Sweet, sweet surrender.

If you’ve been following me for awhile you already know I’m a self-proclaimed recovering control freak, but this week I’ve given into the blissful feeling of surrender.  They officially closed my son’s school for the remainder of the school year and our moving plans are put on hold until who knows when.  Traditionally that would throw my mind into a complete meltdown, but not this week.  This week I surrendered and you know what?  It’s pretty amazing.  With so much up in the air at the moment, the best thing I could do was let go and trust.  And while it can be super scary when you don’t know what lies ahead, it’s also oddly freeing.  Surrender is sweet friends.  Give it a try!

2. Navigating the in-between.

We are in what I like to call the “in-between” space.  We are in the middle of a worldwide transformation and in a way are in between worlds.  The life we had before all of this will likely be very different than the life we live after this moment.  So…what do we do in the in-between?  That really is up to us all individually.  My suggestion is to go within and FEEL your way forward.  Allow your intuition to guide you through the days and what you need to process, feel, do, and be.  I honestly think that is part of the message for us all.  Feeling our way forward is the best thing we can do in the in-between.  What are your feelings telling you?

3.  Protect your peace.

I am learning more and more each day how to protect my peace of mind because after all…mindset and mental health are critical right now.  What I’m learning is that there are things I need to do and things I need to stop doing in order to protect my peace. Things to do: Move my body, daily mindset work, get some fresh air every day & read for fun.  Things to stop doing: Watching the news, forcing action, worrying about what’s going to happen next.  I’m finding that my peace of mind is deeply connected to being in the moment.  What do you need to do to protect your peace during this time?

4.  Give yourself a break.

I learned this week that I can’t expect myself to wear all the hats at once and that I actually need to give myself a break.  Yes, I am at home and I am working, home schooling, connecting with clients & navigating the unknown right now but some days “all the things” feels too heavy.  So, I’m allowed to have a break.  I’m allowed to refresh, regroup, take a nap & ignore the pile of laundry that needs to be folded….and you are too.  Consider this permission to give yourself a break where you need it right now.

5.  Gratitude & Grace.

Everyday I am finding more reasons and ways to be grateful during this crazy time and it’s been incredible.  There are so many things I have taken for granted when life was busy and full of “stuff” and now that a lot of that is stripped away, I’m seeing my life with fresh eyes.  I don’t know about you, but my hope is that when we are able to emerge from our homes and reconnect again that we maintain the gratitude and grace that is being experienced in the here and now.  What are you most grateful for right now?

I know this is a tough time for a lot of people and I want to help in any way I can. If you are looking for a bit of support, hit the link below and let’s chat.

Mindset Monday: Mind your mind

March 24, 2020 by Lamisha

Happy Monday Friends,

Before we get into today’s mindset tip for the week, I wanted to remind you that I still have the Mindpower Membership (pay what you can) offer available.  I will keep the registration open for the next week or so as we all find our way into a temporary “new” normal.  If you’re looking for support or guidance to feel a bit more connected at this time, feel free to get signed up.  (When I say pay what you can that’s what I mean.  We’ve had everything from $1 – $30 for this offer so don’t let that stop you from signing up.)

Also, for those of you who can’t get to the gym at the moment due to gyms being closed/social distancing, I encourage you to join us in the Light & Love group that gives you access to 14 free workouts you can do from home, plus a variety of healthy recipes, mindset tools etc. to help keep you healthy.  My workout routine has been a game-changer right now so if that’s something you need too, join us here.

Now…onto our mindset tip for the week! Check it out!

My hope is that while you are spending time hunkering down & practicing a bit of physical distancing, that you are also spending time connecting with yourself and others.  I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…we are in this thing together.  We are ALL affected by this situation & in varying ways so it’s important for us to connect, reach out and support each other.

So, if there is anything I can do for you please send me a message and let me know.

Sending you all tons of love right now and always.

Friday 5: Connection, Coping & Coming Together

March 20, 2020 by Lamisha

How are you doing friends?

How are you coping with everything that is unfolding in the world right now? <—Not a rhetorical question, I truly want to know so feel free to drop me an email here and let me know.

I’m not going to lie…it’s been a tough week and I wasn’t sure I should write this email at all.  But then I remembered what I tell my clients regarding mindset.  It’s not just about doing it when things are good and easy, it’s about doing it when things are hard too.  This is one of those moments. So let’s get started shall we?

Friday 5: Connection, Coping & Coming Together

1. Feel the feels.

I just wanted to remind you that no matter what you are feeling at the moment it’s ok for you to feel what you feel.  If you feel sad, lonely, worried, frustrated, fearful etc.  It’s ok.  We are all dealing with this in a variety of ways and there’s no “right” way of handling it.  We have to give ourselves permission to feel the feels in order to process them and move through them.  So, whatever you are feeling right now…let it be ok.

2. Connect when/where you can.

While many of us are practicing social distancing at the moment (and let me tell you that can be incredibly lonely), it’s important to still connect with others when and where you can.  Reach out to friends, video chat with family members, or connect with other like minded souls around the internet.  There are tons of opportunities right now to connect with others (including the pay what you can 30-Days of Mindset Support I am hosting starting Monday).  So, reach out & connect as you feel called to, I truly believe this is part of the message for us all.

3.  Breathe & be.

Yesterday, I spent the afternoon outside with my son and dogs. We sat on the back deck with a few books, paint supplies and the great outdoors & I can’t tell you what a difference it made.  I realized this past week I’ve been so anxious I haven’t really allowed myself to truly breathe and just be in this moment.  I’ve been worried about what’s going to happen next (as if I can control any of it) and just a few hours outside helped me to realize how much I needed to just ‘be’ with this moment as much as possible.  Maybe you do too.  If so, I encourage you to get outside or open your windows and just take a few mindful & deep breaths. You might be surprised at how much it helps.

4.  How does it get any better than this???

A question I am continually asking myself through all of this.  It’s a practice I started years ago and I use it whenever I’ve been challenged & it really helps.  You don’t have to come up with the answer, you just have to ask and be open to how it shows up.  There are lots of ways this can get better for us all  even if we can’t quite see it now.  It can & will shift for us all friends.  Hang in there.

5.  Be the light or find one.

This week I’ve been floating back and forth between trying to “be the light” for others & seeking support for myself.  It’s a delicate balance and I think it’s important to know that we can all be the light for others & seek support as well.  So, where ever you fall at the moment,  want to encourage you to be there. Support, share, & connect with others as you can & reach out and seek support when you need it.  We are truly in this together & we need to give ourselves permission to seek support when we need it, especially now.

I hope this Friday 5 was helpful & if nothing else lets you know you are not alone.  We are all finding our way through this situation the best way we know how so hang in there.

With that said here are a few reminders & resources that might be helpful for you…

–> Mindpower Membership –Pay what you can is still available.  I’ll be keeping this open for another week so if you want to get signed up you can send any amount here & I’ll send you the link to join.  I’ll be doing weekly oracle readings, mindset support, live calls, trainings etc. plus, you will have access to a whole library of past trainings and audios asap.

–> Free support calls still available– if you want some mindset support right now and you’d like to connect, feel free to email me here & I’ll send you a link to sign up.

–> Free workouts & support– I think I mentioned this before, but moving my body every day has been a game-changer when it comes to my mindset and anxiety so if you can’t get to the gym and want access to some free workouts you can do from home, I’ve got you covered.  You can join us for 3 weeks of free workouts, recipes, & other support in the Light & Love Facebook Group.

Let me follow up by saying…I know there is a lot going on right now & if it feels best for you to quiet the noise a bit and just “be” during this time…do that.  I just want to offer some options to those who are seeking them and think they would be helpful.  So join what feels good for you and leave the rest. Ultimately you have do what is best and what works for you.

Sending tons of love to you!

3 Ways to cope with the chaos…

March 16, 2020 by Lamisha

I think it’s safe to say that today is the ultimate Monday of all Mondays with everything going on in the world.

To be honest, up until about mid-week last week I wasn’t too concerned about this whole virus thing but shit got real pretty fast when we were notified school would be closing for a month.  My anxiety instantly shot through the roof and I, like many started to feel a bit more concern & fear for what is to come.

This weekend, I struggled with the idea of going on with “business as usual” because it doesn’t feel like a usual kind of world right now.  Grocery store shelves are empty, businesses are closing, people who desperately need to work, can’t and stress is at an all time high with so much uncertainty hanging in the air.

I sat with my own anxiety for a bit and kept asking myself…

What can I do? How can I help? How can I be of service in a way that really matters?

The first thought that came up was self-care because I can’t be of service to anyone if I’m not taking care of myself.  The same goes for you too.

So, if you’re struggling a bit with anxiety, fear, or just plain overwhelm with everything going on at the moment, here are three things to help you cope.

  1.  Morning routine.  If you are working from home unexpectedly or you have kids and they are at home with you, this is going to be critical.  Having some semblance of a routine for you and your family is going to be more powerful than you realize.  Find a routine that works for you & helps you feel grounded and ready mentally as you move into your day.  And don’t forget your mindset work.
  2.  Move your body.  Whether you do it first thing in the morning or later in the day, I highly recommend at least 20 minutes of exercise or stretching each day.  It will not only boost your immune system, but also help you clear your head and help you feel more at peace. There are tons of free workouts available online or if you’re interested, I can send you a few free workouts to try on the platform I use.
  3. Meditate.  Whether you listen to a guided meditation or sit in silence, spend some time each day getting quiet and going within.  Meditation is good for so many things, but the thing I find it to be most helpful with is creating a peaceful mind amongst all the chaos.  This is a practice that is also as good for the body as it is for the mind, so give it a try.

And if you are looking for a bit more support for your mindset at the moment I also came up with a few ways I can help.

–> I am opening 5 free 30 minute support chats this week for anyone who could use a bit of mindset support at the moment.
If you are interested in one of these sessions, please simply email here and I’ll send you the link to schedule.  I may open a few more spots depending on the response I get.

–> 30 Days of support: Pay what you can.  I’ve decided to open my membership program for 30 days of mindset support and you get to decide what to pay.  This membership will be hosted in a private Facebook group and will include weekly trainings, journal assignments, individual mindset support, Q & A threads,  2 open coaching calls for your specific concerns & more.  We officially begin March 23rd, but I’ll be jumping into the group throughout this week & sharing additional resources to support you.  Simply sign up HERE & I’ll send you the link to join us.  (Note: this is truly a pay what you can so if you would like to join us please do!)

We are in a really precarious & important time right now collectively.

How we choose to view, engage, and respond to these next few weeks on both an individual and collective level will literally create our future.  So, let’s remember who we are and use this time to connect to ourselves and pre-pave the way for an incredible life and world on the other side.

Pay what you can: Mindpower Membership 30 Days

If you need support, please reach out.  We need each other now, more than ever.

Sending you tons of love today!
