I’ve been stuck on this + an announcement!

April 16, 2021 by Lamisha

Happy Friday Friends!

I’ve been feeling pretty stuck over the last month or so and today I’m sharing why I’ve been stuck + 3 lessons I am implementing to get moving forward again + some big news!

The Book Club Membership is **finally** HERE!

As you heard in the video above, it’s taken a lot of unnecessary overthinking to get to this point, but in alignment with my mantra this year, I am letting it be easy. So instead of continuing to find the ‘perfect’ way to share this book journey thing with you, I’ve decided to choose progress over perfection. (And let me tell you my mind is already so happy I have!)

So, what is the Book Club Membership?

This is an 8 month membership where I am inviting you to join me in my book writing journey.  If you choose to join me for this membership you will receive each chapter of my book as it is written + at least 1 pre-recorded training each month that coincides with each chapter. I’ll also be sharing with you additional behind the scenes bonus content including mindset lessons, journal prompts and other mind & life expanding exercises as they come up along the way.

What’s the book about?

This book is a collection of unfiltered mindset truths that will change your life in ways you never thought possible. Each chapter includes a deep dive into the truth, along with real life examples, personal stories and specific exercises/strategies for you to apply to your life moving forward.

How will the content be delivered?

To start everything will be emailed directly to your inbox. I may also open a Facebook Group that will allow for occasional open coaching sessions or Q & A time. This is TBD.

When does it begin?

It all kicks off on May 3rd with a live call/party. You will also receive the first chapter of the book that day with the pre-recorded training to come about a week after.

Can we register at any time or is there a registration window?

Registration opens today & will close May 2nd.

If we register now, do we have to wait until May 3rd for the goods?

If you register now, you will receive the Introduction as well as a behind the scenes look into my mindset lessons so far. I will begin sending those items out April 15th and within 24 hours of registration for anyone who signs up after that date.

Who is it for?

Honestly, the information I am sharing works for anyone and everyone, but the people I am holding space for in this membership are people who will ENGAGE with the content and apply it to their lives. I want the people who feel the nudge to sign up and who fully intend to apply the content, provide feedback and participate in the pop-up Open Coaching & Q & A bonus calls along the way.

Is it just a book?

While this is a “Book Club Membership”, it’s so much more. Once it’s all said and done you will be receiving 8 months of information, content and coaching that has the power to change your life in amazingly wondrous ways because that’s the energy & vibe I am setting for it as I do with all of my coaching work.

It’s also a good option if you aren’t in a financial position to work with me 1:1 yet, but you resonate with my work and want to create some shifts & changes in your life.

How often will we receive content?

I am aiming to deliver something to you at minimum every 2 weeks, whether that is a full chapter, the additional training or behind the scenes content. However, that plan may change slightly as we move forward.

Also, remember that you are receiving the info as it is written so it is far from perfect. It will be unedited (by a professional editor at least) and the order in which you receive the chapters may not be how they show up in the final product.

I’ve heard enough what’s the cost & how do I join???!!

The investment is 8 monthly payments of $88 (sign up here) or 1 payment of $599 (sign up here)

**If you and I are currently working together 1:1, I have a special discounted link for you to join so if you are interested simply message me here & I’ll send the links to you.

**If you signed up for the All-In Program earlier this year, remember you get this as a bonus so you don’t *need* to sign up, however if you’d like to support this venture anyway, you may do so using the discounted info above.

So, there you have it! I would **love** for you to join me in this journey & I can’t wait to share with you what I’ve written and learned so far. If this is an absolute YES for you, hit the links above to get signed up.

Do you have other questions I didn’t answer above? Feel free to post them below!

What’s limiting you + Spring reset

April 1, 2021 by Lamisha

If you’ve ever wondered how to identify what thoughts and beliefs are limiting you in what you want to create, today’s video is for you.  Yesterday I did a live Tip Tuesday where I shared three ways to identify what is holding you back as well as a few ways you can start to shift those beliefs.
Check it out!

If are interested in the journal guidebook I mentioned in the video, you can grab yours here.

New month, new quarter vibes!!

As we head into a new month and a new quarter, I want to encourage you to begin thinking about what you want to feel, experience and create moving forward. How do you want to expand and evolve over the coming weeks and months? Take a moment to think about how you might need to reset your mindset, daily practice or start something new.  If this isn’t something you typically do, I highly recommend it!

I’ve been thinking a lot about this kind of thing lately and it seems there is a misconception around personal development work.  Often people think that this kind of work is only for the people running a business or participating in network marketing, but that’s not the case at all.

Setting goals, getting clear on your intentions and doing daily work toward those things is a good idea for everyone, especially if you are looking to create shifts and changes in your life. So, if you aren’t one who typically sets goals/intentions, I encourage you to give it a try.

To be honest, as we head into this new month and quarter, I’ve been feeling the need to get a bit more organized and do a bit of a life/business reset.  The first few months of 2021 have come and gone and I’m feeling a bit fuzzy with my goals/intentions. So, I’m doing what I know works for me…I’m getting clear on what I need to focus on/change moving forward.

Goal/Intention Review: I’m taking some time over the next few days to review the goals I have for 2021 and set some specific goals for April and writing them down! When I do this I often focus on personal, financial and business goals which helps me get clear on my intentions.

Creating Space: This goes for my mental and physical spaces. I’ll be doing some daily/weekly decluttering to clear out the “stuff” we no longer use/need while also clearing out the mental “stuff” I’m hanging onto. I will be finishing up some long overdue tasks that I have been procrastinating on the last few weeks and clearing my mental space to focus on some exciting (and scary) new things I’ve been thinking about.

Resetting Routines: It seems many of my routines and practices have fallen by the wayside this month so it’s time to get back on track. Leaning into ease, flow, and freedom are my big intentions as I move through this process.  I find I’m my best self in all ways when I have some form of routines working in my life and this is going to be especially important as I move forward with writing my book!!!  <—-More info about that coming up next week, stay tuned!

So that’s what I will be doing over the next few days.  Are you doing a bit of a reset as we head into Spring? If so, I’d love to know what you are focusing on. Post a comment below and let me know!

5 Things I’m afraid to tell you…

March 30, 2021 by Lamisha

It’s been almost three years since I’ve done one of these and as I lean into what is next for me and this work, I thought I’d share some of the things I’m afraid to tell you right now.

Here we go…

—> I’m not where I want to be…yet. My business has grown and evolved so much over the last 8 years and while I am very proud of how far I’ve come, I feel like there is so much more that I want to do. I’m not yet where I want to be in a lot of ways and there are days when I have no idea how it’s going to happen & I feel overwhelmed by it all. On my best days, I’m excited by all the ideas and the shifts I feel coming. Other times I feel completely anxious about how/when/if it will all come together. Most of the time I try to take it one day at a time and enjoy the ride, but let me tell you those “other” days can be a doozy.

—> The mom guilt is real! I’ve been so thankful to have a career I can do from anywhere and virtually at any time. With the pandemic and all things home-school in 2020, I’ve never been more thankful. On the flip side, I often question so much of what I do as a parent. I don’t know if “balance” is a thing, but over the years, I’ve desperately been trying to find a balance between the creative work I love and showing up and being present with my family. I generally don’t feel like I’m doing enough and am always striving to do a better job, but I suppose it’s a work in progress like anything else.

—> I never wanted a business.  That sounds completely insane to put into words, but it’s 100% true. I never had a life long dream to work for myself, but I did have a dream to do work I love. I am my most creative, excited and high vibe self when I’m helping, serving, teaching, coaching and when I’m in the zone doing what I love. All the other “business” stuff like “marketing” and “scaling” kinda makes my skin crawl and sometimes I wonder if I’m not where I want to be yet because I’m not doing the ‘business’ thing correctly. I’ve always said I don’t really have a business plan and that’s still true. I am trusting that if I continue to follow the nudges, speak my truth, share what I have to offer & have my mindset on board with it all…I’ll get there.

—> Sometimes I wonder if I’m helping anyone at all. In some of my more wobbly mindset moments when I forget who I am and what I came here to do, I truly wonder if the last 8 years have been a bit of a sham. Like…am I really helping people? Am I really making a difference in the lives of my clients or am I just one big fraud? Sometimes I snap out of it quickly and other times it takes a few days for me to remember the big breakthrough moments that happen during this work. My 1:1 client work is so powerful and yet, sometimes I forget just how good it can be and how I have helped facilitate change for hundreds of clients over the years.

—> Ease isn’t easy for me.  I recently realized I have a deeply rooted relationship with the idea of “struggle” and how I need to earn my ease and success in a very specific way aka through struggle. So, when things feel “too easy” I get a little anxious and antsy like I’m doing something wrong. Funny enough my deepest desire is to create more ease and freedom in my life and business and I don’t want to have to manufacture a struggle to get it. This is one of the big up-levels I’m dealing with at the moment and it’s been a challenge to say the least. It’s part of my journey that I will continue to share with you because I think there are a lot of people who feel similarly.

As always, I share this with you because I’m not perfect and I want you to know you don’t have to be either. I also want to be as real as possible. This is all a journey of learning, growing and expanding. There are ups, downs and challenges along the way, but it’s all worth it in the end.

So that’s it for this round!

Let me know if this is helpful for you. I’d love to know.

P.S. If you’re interested in checking out the past posts like this you can check them here and here.

Inside look into my mindset lately…

March 24, 2021 by Lamisha

If you’ve been following me for a while you likely know that I have no problem sharing the good, bad and the indifferent with you when it comes to this journey. I would love to tell you it’s all sunshine and rainbows, but it wouldn’t be a learning journey if that were the case. So, I try to share it all with you in hopes that my thoughts and insights are helpful for you and you see that bumps in the road are totally normal. So let’s get into it shall we

The challenges I’ve been working through recently really boil down to this…

Upheavals lead to up-levels.

While I wouldn’t consider this particular challenge an “upheaval” compared to some of the other up-levels I’ve gone through over the years, it is essentially the same idea. I’m up-leveling in a big way as are many of my clients.

Here’s what that looks like for me at the moment.

1. I broke my 135 day mindset streak!!  After 135 consecutive days of doing my mindset practice seemingly automatically, I just…stopped and I didn’t realize it until about 2-3 days later. Truthfully it didn’t seem like such a big deal at the time, but I was curious about why.  Why did this seemingly automatic/easy practice just fall by the wayside after 135 days & what were the effects?

I can’t quite pinpoint why it fell by the wayside other than my mind being a bit scattered and feeling out of sorts due to some schedule changes the last week or so. The effects however were pretty interesting. While I didn’t judge myself for missing a few days, I could feel that I hadn’t really been all that connected to the energy of the practice. At some point in my journey it became just another (sometimes mindless) action I was doing each day and that was the issue. I didn’t feel the feels that went along with it and so I stopped unconsciously.

Now that I see it, I realize I need to make some changes to my practice and make sure I am energetically engaged with it and not just going through the motions. #LessonLearned

May this be a lesson for you to check in with your own practice and make sure you’re connected to it and if not, switch it up!

2. Learning to live it while I’m in it.  One of my core desires that surround virtually everything I do in and outside my business is connected to creating a life of freedom. I desire maximum freedom in my time, finances, work, creativity etc. and over the last 8+ years, while I’ve been working on building a business to deliver exactly that, I realized (with the help of my coach) that I’m not really living in the freedom I have available to me now.

Through my business, I have the ability to work when and how I like. I have the freedom to take days off as needed (or really whenever I decide to) and the time and opportunity to go to the beach any time I damn-well please.  However...I have a really hard time with all of that.

So, I dug a little deeper and realized I’ve got a bit of mindset work to do around “ease” & trusting that I get to expand to the next level in a beautiful way that feels good, fun, freeing, and yes…easy.

I’ve got some blocks popping up around living the island life and at times I feel guilty when things feel “too good”.  I sometimes feel like I’m “cheating” the system & am somehow doing it wrong because for so long I’ve really worked hard to get to this place. And before I get into the upper-limit problem that Gay Hendricks speaks about in his book The Big Leap, I’m working through the junk so I can get to the other side.

To do that, I’m asking myself a few questions including…

–>Is it true?  Is it true that I’m cheating the system? Is it true that I should feel guilty about life when it feels good and hold back on sharing it? Is it true that it has to be hard? (The answer to all of those questions is of course…no!)

–>What do I choose to know and believe?  I choose to know that I am worthy & deserving of the freedom I desire. I choose to trust that this is how it gets to be, not only for me, but everyone and the more I learn to do this and get better at it, the more I am able to help others do the same. I also choose to know and believe that this is just part of the journey to the next level & it doesn’t have to mean anything.

I am also practicing these new beliefs, embodying the energy of them & intentionally creating space in my calendar to take time off, go to the beach & practice living the freedom I’ve always wanted while I’m in it.

We all have things we can do now, even as we continue to expand to the next level, so my hope is that this is a nice reminder for you to do just that.

One of the things I’m constantly trying to remember is that this journey is never-ending. There are layers to our growth and expansion and each level brings about a new awareness, clarity and many lessons along the way. It also brings incredible experiences, freedom and tons of joy we didn’t know was possible. This is why we are here.

The truth is, this is why I feel called to do this work. My job is to walk this path, share what I learn and hopefully support you in moving forward on your own path in a more aligned & expansive way.

I hope that by continuing to share my journey, it’s helpful for you to know that you are not alone. We are truly in this thing together & thank goodness for that!

Do you resonate with any of the things I shared above? If so, I’d love to know. Post a comment below and let me know!

That’s it for now! I hope you are having a wonderful week!

P.S.

If you didn’t grab your oracle reading last week, I still have a few left .If you are interested you may purchase one here. I likely won’t be opening these up again until later this year.

The power of yes…

March 21, 2021 by Lamisha

Image by Engin Akyurt from Pixabay

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but today I’m here to remind you that…

YES has the power to change your entire life for the better.

I know this to my core and over the years I’ve grown so accustomed to this truth that I am always excited to see what my next “yes” brings.

Now, it hasn’t always been this way. In fact, I was pretty “yes” averse back in the day. I had a very small comfort zone that didn’t really allow much room for new adventures, opportunities or things that would require me to say yes.  If I didn’t already know it, you, or the outcome…my answer was almost certainly…no.

That is until I began challenging myself in college. While most people couldn’t wait to explore their freedom and do all the things, I was craving the certainty of the life I left behind. While it was far from perfect & in some ways dysfunctional, it’s the only thing I knew.

About half-way through my Freshman year in college I realized I needed to branch out a bit and explore. So, I challenged myself to say “yes” to more invites, opportunities, groups, and activities to broaden my horizon and to meet people and honestly…it was the best thing I could have ever done.

Trying new things, meeting new people and attending all kinds of interesting events expanded my mind and my comfort zone in ways I never imagined and it invited a level of magic and wonder into my life I didn’t know existed.

You see, I didn’t know what I didn’t know. I had no clue! And if it hadn’t been for the fact that I was willing to say “yes” to things that were intriguing and at times uncomfortable, I would have missed out on all of that magic.

In a world where so many of us allow fear and doubt to drive the bus of our lives…”yes” often feels off, awkward and sometimes unsafe.

But friends, let me tell you saying yes to that butterfly in the gut, exciting opportunity, vision in your mind has the power to transform the next 30-60-100 days or maybe your entire life.

And you know what stops most people from saying ‘yes’ to the very thing that will change their lives more than ever…the lack of trust in themselves.

They seem to question it all as they ask questions like…

Is this the “right” way or the “wrong” way?

Does this make sense?

Will it work out?

What if it doesn’t?

What if I fail?!

All the questions that limit us. All the fear that binds us. All the worry about something that we can’t truly know until we say YES.

No, I’m not telling you to say ‘yes’ all willy-nilly without regard to what it is or what it entails, but I am inviting you to tune into YOU and to learn to trust yourself.

Feel into it. Get curious about it and ask yourself “What if?”

You’ve probably heard the saying that most people don’t regret the things they did, but instead regret the things they didn’t do so what is that for you?

–>What feelings, thoughts, nudges, ideas, and inklings have you been having that you’ve shut out because they are uncomfortable or scary.

–>What opportunities have you turned down because you’re second-guessing yourself and your abilities?

–>What ideas are you talking yourself out of because they feel new, different or just plain scary?

What is your mind/fear/doubt saying “no” to that your heart and future self are urging you to say YES to?

That thing (or things) you just thought of…yep, that’s what I’m referring to.

Is it time to say yes? (That’s a trick question because there is no better time than now to say yes!)

So…let this be your call to action to move forward and say yes to that rumbling in your soul….that feeling that has been tugging at you for far too long…that voice that whispers to you “There is more available to you & it’s time you take that step!”

Step out on faith, say YES & see what happens, you may just find it’s the exact next step you were looking for. What do you have to lose?

–> P.S. If the rumble in your soul has been asking you to reach out and get support, you truly have nothing to lose and EVERYTHING to gain when you book a quick chat with me. Let’s see if we are a good fit & make 2021 the best year yet.
