LOA Tip: Let It Go!

April 23, 2015 by Lamisha

Over the past 2 weeks I have been doing something that I teach my clients NOT to do when manifesting their desires.  And while I’m not quite sure why this is coming up right now, I did receive the message that it is time for this to change NOW.

Check out the video below to learn how to detach and let go of the thing(s) you are trying to manifest so you can avoid the incessant thoughts like “Dude where’s my stuff???”

For more manifesting tips check out this post.

2 Questions You Need to Ask Yourself Today

There are 2 things I ask every single client and they are questions I am going to challenge you to ask yourself today.

But, before you do that, I want you to know that the answers you give to these questions will indeed change your life for the better.

And I would venture to say that these are questions you may not have thought to ask yourself before now.

1. What do I want?

This sounds like a very obvious question to ask especially if your interest is to create a life you love, because how can you create a life you love if you don’t know what you want?  But, most people simply settle for what they have in their current reality.  They may desire a bit more money, more free time, and a few more vacations but other than that, they don’t think much about what it is that they want.

So, what do you want?  What does your dream life look like?  If I had a magic wand and I could give you exactly what you are asking for in full detail right this very moment, would you have the clarity to make the most out of your one wish?  Chances are you wouldn’t.  Today I challenge you to grab a journal or a piece of paper and write down exactly what you want out of life.  Focus in full detail on how you want to feel and how that looks in life for you.  What are your key emotional markers for the life of your dreams?

2. What do I need to do right now that I’ve been avoiding?

Most people think that the answers they are seeking lie outside of them and they must go find them.  That’s actually not an accurate depiction of where your answers are.  The answers you seek lie within you, right here, right now.  And when most of us feel stuck in a rut or like we are on the hamster wheel of life, we overlook the thing we know we need to do get us moving forward again.

So, what is it you need to do right now that you’ve been avoiding?  I asked this question to a client who was feeling pretty stuck in a certain situation.  After a brief pause, she had listed 3 things she needed to do to move forward and they were things she had been avoiding out of fear, anxiety, and just plain worry.  Whatever answer you get to this question, go do it.  Take action and watch the Universe work its magic to help support you in your cause.  I promise that is the secret to creating a life you love.

Let’s keep the conversation going.  What answer did you get that surprised you a bit? Share your thoughts in the comments below.  I’d love to hear your answers!

LOA Tip: Energy Shifts Before Your Manifestation Occurs

April 14, 2015 by Lamisha

What do you do when you are working on manifesting money, your dream career, your soulmate or maybe your dream house and despite doing everything you’ve been taught…nothing happens?

I get this question more than you think and to be honest, I’ve dealt with it in my own manifesting journey on more than one occasion.

I have my high vibe practice set up with EFT tapping, meditation, affirmations, visualization, and inspired action and I even lean back and let the Universe take over-but, there are moments when I just can’t help but ask where I am going wrong???

While there may be some things you could do to clear the way a bit more-mindset work, dropping the old stories about working hard etc., one thing you must know is this:

Your stuff is coming…right now.

I know, you are looking around and saying…but WHERE is it Lamisha?

It’s coming, in fact it’s already on the way and the best way for you to know it for yourself is to know this:

Energy shifts before your manifestation occurs.

During the manifesting process, energy is in play all the time.  You have to have a vibration that matches that of the thing (or person) you are trying to attract and before your actual manifestation comes to you-energy has to shift first.

Here’s what that might look like in a real world scenario.

Say for instance you are trying to manifest your dream job.  You know how you want to feel in that job and you have been doing your mantras, taking action, and keeping your vibration high.

You take the logical route and apply for the jobs you find along the way, but they aren’t a very good fit.  However, you notice that you are making more contacts and “randomly” running into people who are doing the exact type of work you would love to do.

On the one hand you could see this as a chance to moan and groan about the fact that they have this amazing job and you don’t…OR you could simply see it for the amazing gift that it is.  The energy is shifting and you are seeing more of what you want in your reality.

You are meeting people who are working in a job you love and you are making connections, networking, and building relationships that will lead you to be notified as soon as a position becomes available.

Energy ALWAYS shifts before your manifestation occurs, so be aware of the shifts and be grateful.  It’s a sure sign that your desires are on the way.

Take a moment and look at what you are trying to manifest right this very moment and note the signs you have seen that indicate the energy is shifting and your stuff is on the way.  Celebrate!  The tides are shifting and you are on the right path.

Life Upheaval = An Opportunity to Up-level

So, life’s been pretty…interesting lately.

There have been moments when everything feels in alignment, on purpose, and totally flowing and other times where it feels like the ground I am standing on is shifting under my feet.

It’s an interesting place to be since each feeling is totally different than the other, but it’s also a feeling I know well, though often forget.

I’m seeing this happen in many of my friend’s and client’s lives too.  Life feels so overwhelming and things feel like they are coming apart at the seams.  Perfectly laid plans are crumbling and it feels like we are being forced to purge so many beliefs, fears, and even physical stuff.

I’m no astrologer, but I totally believe in the power of the planets and their alignment and it feels like this life upheaval is a Universal affair.

Lucky us.

From some of my favorite spiritual teachers and intuitives, I am hearing that this is an opportunity for us to release what no longer serves us and welcome in new opportunities and new energies.  Makes sense right?  We are getting so close to Spring and this is similar to a life Spring cleaning.

I’ve felt this type of thing before.  As I said, it’s not new to me at all as I have had several big life upheavals that have opened the door to more living, learning, growing, and ultimately new opportunities.

The life upheaval can show up in a variety of ways-losing a job, moving cross country, or even just little disagreements and blow outs with friends and family.  I’ve done all of these in various times in my life and they all have lead to new opportunities.

Here’s how I see it.

We have moments in our lives when we are moving right along with no worries.  There are changes we need to make, but we don’t make them because things are running fairly smoothly and it often isn’t until life forces us to make that change or take action that we finally oblige.

This is something similar.  As we continually move through life there are life experiences we want to make and in order to manifest them, we have to level up our energy.  Doing so often means we have to release and let go of the baggage that is holding us back.  This can come in the form of physical things like clothes, shoes, old books, papers etc. or in the form of beliefs, thoughts, feelings, and memories that are ready to be processed.

If you are feeling a similar life upheaval I want you to know this…

You are NOT crazy and this process IS leading you to bigger, better things.  Things that you WANT in your life. I promise.

My last big life upheaval came in the form of me losing my full-time employment which was scary and frustrating, but it led me to be able to do what I love full-time.

Before that, my wife got assigned to a new military base and we had to find a home and move 9 hours away from where we previously lived, but that led us to amazing new friends, new opportunities, and our beautiful home.

The best thing you can do during moments like these is go with the flow and feel the feelings (or as I like to call them the feels) that come along with the changes.  Be open to the changes and move through them with a curious mind and open heart.

I’ve also found journaling, meditation, EFT, and connecting with friends and coaches can be very helpful.

You are getting ready to experience some amazing growth unlike any other!  Shine baby shine!

If you are looking for some support around the upheaval that is happening for you right now, reach out and schedule a free 30-Minute consultation and let’s have a chat.  I’d love to help support you and help you shine baby shine!

Giving the Gift of Self-Care

Welcome to The Holiday Sanity Blog Tour, 20 days of tips, tools, techniques, and perspectives from me (and 19 other coaches) with LOVE this holiday season. I’m so excited to be a part of this tour and connect with a group of like-minded coaches that have such a passion for helping others.

When Megan Hale & Jenn Scalia shared their vision for this blog tour with me, I knew I wanted to be a part of it because I know what it’s like to go through the crazy hustle & bustle of the holidays and end up in total overwhelm.  From the gifts you have to buy, to getting the house ready for guests, and doing everything else in between, this time of peace, joy, and happiness can often leave us feeling like a big ball of nerves with nothing but, stress and exhaustion.

In fact, as I type this, I am eyeballing the gifts to be wrapped, the boxes to be mailed, and the holiday cards that need to be sent and am feeling the stress big time.

So what can you do to ensure you remain sane (and dare I say relaxed) this holiday season?

Well, I have found a few simple things that have worked for me in the past and they are things that I am reminding myself of this holiday season.  And it all comes down to one thing…Self-Care.

As women, it can be hard to take time out of our busy schedules to focus on what we want and what we need on a regular day, not to mention during the holiday season, but it is imperative to ensure we are able to enjoy what this time of year brings.

You might be wondering how you can squeeze a little bit of time for yourself in when there is so much to be done?

Here’s how:

  • Put yourself first. This is by far one of the hardest things for us to do as women (and if you are a wife and mother too, this might be even more difficult for you to do), because we are so used to putting ourselves last.  We take care of work, the kids, the spouse, the house, etc. and leave our needs on the back burner until we have…more time.  We all know that more time never comes, so learning to put yourself first is key.  You can’t take care of anyone or anything if you don’t first care for yourself.  This can be as simple as getting in a bit of yoga before anyone wakes up or reading a good book in the tub at the end of the day.  Whatever it is, make your self-care your top priority and I assure you everything else will get done.
  • Create a ritual.  The thing about self-care is that it’s not a one-time or one-season deal.  We always have to be aware of creating the time and space to take care of ourselves and the best way to do that is to create a ritual or a habit that is easy for you to stick to.  This can take some experimenting to get totally clear, but it is 100% worth it.  To start, think of the things you love doing.  If you love to meditate or do yoga, how can you work that into your days/weeks with ease? What can you do add a bit more fun and flow into your day starting say…today? A self-care ritual doesn’t have to be complex, but it does need to resonate and feel good for you.  So figure out what you would love more of in your days and weeks and start doing that now!
  • Remember the magic of the season…and let go of the perfection. Part of the stress that comes during this time of year is based out of our distraction from what the season is really about.  As we struggle to make things ‘perfect’ by getting the home and gifts just right and we race to beat the clock for various deadlines, we miss the joy in the season.  The twinkling lights, the fun Christmas music, the holiday movies, and the laughter and fun that comes with spending time with family and friends.  Trying to make everything perfect is often the #1 way to get to exhaustion, overwhelm, and disappointment.  Let go a bit and let the holiday season be perfectly imperfect.  Your family would much rather spend time with YOU than see you run by in a flash trying to get everything done.  It’s time to enjoy yourself this season!
  • Mandatory F.U.N. I get it, you don’t have time for fun because you have approximately 1,342,343 things to do on your list! But, having a bit of fun is the best way I know how to ease up a little and take care of you.  When was the last time you had a good old fashioned game night or spent time with the kids playing the snow?  Remember that feeling you had as a kid when the holidays rolled around?  Get back to that feeling and enjoy yourself.  The years fly by enough on their own, there is no need to rush them along because you are stressing to get things done.  Kick up your heels and have a good laugh.  It’s good for the mind and the soul.
  • Create some space.  My last suggestion for giving yourself the gift of self-care is creating some extra space in your calendar and your days.  Spend some time alone, reflecting on the day and the year that is coming to an end.  You might choose to go for a walk on your own, meditate for a bit, or write in your gratitude journal, but whatever you choose to do, make sure you create some sacred time & space to do it…for you.  This time will allow you to create some space for you to take a few deep breaths and be fully present in the moment.  In fact, try that now as you read this.  Just close your eyes and breathe for a moment.  Now, doesn’t that feel better?

Taking care of yourself during the holiday season and beyond is the key to a happy life.  If you aren’t caring for yourself, you can’t possibly be of service to anyone else.  Enjoy the holidays for what they are, a time of sharing, caring, and love for one another and remember that love starts with you.

I’ve had so much fun connecting to so many amazing coaches who are passionate about helping others.  I’d love for you to have access to the rest of the tour so you don’t miss out on this valuable resource.
