What message are you sending?

February 17, 2015 by Lamisha

What risks are you willing to take to

You all know I am a BIG believer and teacher of the Law of Attraction and along with that comes the understanding that every thing we think and feel gets communicated as vibration.

We attract back to us what we send out and that is why our mindset, thoughts, feelings, self-talk etc. are SO important when we are manifesting the life of our dreams.

Garbage in=garbage out.

What you think about yourself and your life, you experience in your reality.

The concept is easy, but what happens when we start sending mixed signals to the Universe/God/Source (whatever you want to call it)?

You get mixed results.

You have to be super clear about what you want and make sure that your beliefs, thoughts, and experiences reflect those things.

I’ll give you an example.

Say you run a business and you have just raised your rates because you know you are worth more than what you currently charge.  You set your monthly goal higher and tell the Universe in very clear language…I am ready to charge what I am worth.

The Universe responds and sends you clients who are used to you charging your older rates.

You feel stuck and uncomfortable sharing the new rates so you give them your ‘old rate’ because…you need the money.

You’ve just sent a mixed message that could result in you getting only clients that are willing to pay your older rates or people that complain about your raised rates.

BUT…

What if you charged your new rates and that client couldn’t afford you?  I’ll tell you what happens.  You clearly define what you are worth and the Universe responds by sending you another client that is happy to pay your current (raised) rates.

Another example…

What if you want to manifest some additional money and are open to how it might flow to you.

But, when you are presented with some opportunities to make some extra cash doing what you love…you turn it down or decide to do it for free?

You might have a belief that it’s hard to make money or that when you do what you love you should only do it for free.

If so, you are sending mixed signals and pushing money away.

It’s not our job to determine HOW things will manifest…it is only our job to be clear about what we want and to take inspired action when the time is right.

If your manifestations are a bit mixed and aren’t exactly what you are looking for, it might be time for a check in.  What messages are you sending the Universe right now? Are they clear?

Action step: Take a look at all of your goals for the last month and the actions you have taken to get you to those goals.  Are your intentions and actions in alignment with each other?  If not, make some changes and ensure that you are sending crystal clear messages about what you desire.  When you do, your manifestations are not only faster, but are more of what you DO want and less of what you don’t.

We have 2 weeks left of February before my Breakthrough program pricing goes up.  If you have been thinking about coaching and are interested in what it can do for you, schedule your 30-Minute Consultation today.  March 1st things are changing for the better and I am announcing a new and exclusive VIP program that is limited to a select few people per year! (Case Study) How Carrie is Creating the Life of Her Dreams

February 10, 2015 by Lamisha

A note from Lamisha: Today I am beyond honored to share a post from one of my beautiful clients.  Carrie has an incredible story to share and I am so happy she has allowed me to share it with you.  Read. Enjoy. And reflect on how you too can create the life of your dreams, even if it means you have to do something that scares you.

“Oh shit, what am I going to do now?” That’s exactly what I said about 30 seconds after I quit my job. Actually it was probably closer to 30 minutes after I quit my job. That first half hour I was too giddy and shocked to have any particularly well formed thought.

Once the relative high of making a life altering decision started to dissipate and reality began to rear its scary head I began to process the huge leap I had just dared to take.

And that’s when I said it: Oh shit oh shit ohshitohshit what did I just do?

After the immediate post-quitting freak-out ebbed and I was well into the journey of “figuring it out”, I continued to pepper my inner dialogues and daily conversations with, you guessed it, “oh shit”.

It took me a long time to finally quit my job. Days, weeks, months of vacillating between “I can’t believe the crap I have to deal with every day, I should just quit” and “I love the work I do and the people I work with and I’ll never find another good job so I can’t just quit” kept me frozen in place. The mere thought of quitting my job without another lined up made me hyperventilate with panic because I’m a control freak and generally need to know what I’m doing and when I’m doing it.

I’m one of those folks who thinks spontaneity has it’s place and time. So when I did quit my job, when I finally realized that the reason I was breaking down physically and mentally was due to the stress of my daily work life, I panicked. Suddenly having no job, no income, no benefits, no schedule, no reason to get up in the morning felt like the rug really had been pulled out from under my feet. And I was the one who did the pulling!!

Along with feeling panicked I felt guilty: guilty that I wasn’t doing what I should be doing. Yes, I was ‘should-ing’ all over myself every day. How dare I shirk my responsibilities? What right do I have to take time for self care and self-reflection?

I come from a family of extremely successful overachievers. My brothers are both doctors with thriving practices who work their butts off every day and here I am, the screw up sister who decided to ditch her job and lounge around doing nothing while spending her savings to pay the bills. The responsible me was frantically insisting I look for a job, any job, right now.

Fortunately there was an inner voice, the nurturing me, very small but very persistent, that managed to be heard over the cacophony of responsible thoughts. That voice was telling me it was time to stop the self-destructive cycle and make a change. After a great deal of protest and inner toil, I finally listened.

And so began my (still ongoing) journey to self discovery. Fortunately, I realized a couple of really important things relatively early on.

First, it takes time. I’ll say it again. IT. TAKES. TIME.

It took a long time for me to realize that I actually needed to stop for a while and give myself the chance to heal, to nourish my body and soul and bring myself back up to great health and emotional wellbeing. If I didn’t give myself the oxygen mask, I wouldn’t have the capacity to do the work required to move forward.

You’ve probably heard this a million times but I think it’s a concept that can’t be stressed enough. I allowed myself the time for self care; yoga, meditation, sleep, sitting on the couch and reading a good book, having lunch with a friend, spending time with my family, knitting, whatever it was that made me feel whole. To be sure, it wasn’t easy to be so generous and gentle with myself; that guilty voice was whispering, sometimes shrieking, in my head most days but I managed to keep my health in mind and shove it aside.

During this time I started working with Lamisha, my spirit guide/cheerleader/teacher/coach extraordinaire. In one of my many emails to her I described all that I was doing during this time of renewal as “pulling back the rubber band”.

I was working on my health and wellbeing, yes, but I was also thinking a lot about what I might want to do going forward. I wrote down ideas, no matter how far fetched, I dreamed and fantasized and talked to friends about my ideas to give them life. I researched Meetups and other groups in areas of interest, I spent time in places I loved like my favorite knitting store to find joy and inspiration. I perused beautiful magazines, crafting websites and blogs because looking at beautiful handmade things makes me deliriously happy. I gave myself a set period of time in which to nurture body, mind and soul and at the end of that time I felt ready to let that rubber band fly.

And this brings me to point number 2, Trust.

Trust the process. Bullshit, right? Believe me, when I tell you I had a very hard time refraining from poking my incredibly loving and supportive boyfriend right in the eye when he uttered those words to me. But it’s true and the only way you’ll see for yourself is to, well, trust the process.

When you’re smack in the middle of the process, you can’t see your progress. You have no perspective which is why it’s imperative to check in with people who really know you, who you, um, trust, to give you feedback as you make your way down your path.

It’s been a huge challenge to trust that the energy I’m putting into this big, huge, amazing journey will eventually produce results, open doors, provide opportunities. When I first started reaching out to people for input, advice, potential work, a favor, I eagerly awaited a reply and would find myself losing a bit of confidence as each day passed with no response. I sometimes felt downright dejected (and rejected).

Eventually, most people did respond in one way or another which taught me a critical lesson. Everyone has their own lives, schedules and priorities. The agenda that firmly occupies my front burner every day is most likely sitting on or close to their back burner so now I release the slingshot and then sit tight. I don’t write someone off if they don’t respond in a day, a week, even a month. My communication may land in someone’s inbox or voicemail the day their car died or they’re working on an all-consuming project at work. Or maybe my message will only become relevant to them in a few months when a change–a job opening, a new idea– prompts them to give me a call.

I still don’t know exactly where I’ll land next but here’s the difference between now and when I made the leap a few months ago; I’m a happier, healthier person than I’ve been in ages. I no longer question my decision to quit (no more “oh shit”) and, instead, embrace the journey.

I have days of great progress and excitement and days of disappointment and fear and know that this is normal and part of the process. I reach out to friends and family for help when I need it. I do what makes me feel good and enjoy each new adventure this brings. This journey is, by no means, easy. It’s messy and scary and sometimes I want to throw in the towel and just get a job doing what I was doing before.

But the journey is also inspiring, and enlightening and has taught me about myself beyond measure. So I persist. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

Mindset Mastery: Why you need it.

February 6, 2015 by Lamisha

When I was growing up there was a quote that was very popular and it was this:

“You can do anything you set your mind to.” Benjamin Franklin

At the time it felt like just another after school special that was trying to get kids to do the right thing and never give up.

I was a teenager and didn’t really believe it all that much…until now.

Living the life that I have lived and with all the research and focus I have put on the Law of Attraction and living the life of my dreams, I know that those words are completely true, but something is missing.

It’s not just about putting your mind (and action) into something, it’s also about knowing without a shadow of a doubt that you CAN and WILL accomplish whatever you are striving for.

The action comes secondary to what you believe about what you can and cannot achieve.  If you don’t believe you can do it, the action is worthless because you won’t make it happen if you don’t believe you can.

“Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t–you’re right.” Henry Ford

How you think and feel about your dreams are the MOST important part of the puzzle, in fact it is where it all begins.  If you don’t think you can have the career, the love, the joy, the money, and the family you desire all at once…you’ll never have it.

If you don’t think you can make 6-figures in your creative business…you never will.

If you don’t think it’s possible for you to be happy doing work you love while traveling the world…you won’t even try.

If you don’t think that abundance and joy is for you (but apparently is for everyone else around you) then you will always attract the opposite of those things into your life.

Your mindset can be your biggest enemy if you don’t deal with the beliefs that are holding you back now.

One of the most important things I do with clients is to identify the beliefs and mindset issues they never knew they had.  In fact they rarely even see them! All they see is that they aren’t manifesting the money they want, the job they desire, or the love of their life.  They see the result of a faulty mindset.

That’s where I come in.  I not only help you shift the shit that lies in the dark corners of your mind, but I provide action steps to keep those corners light, bright, and dust-bunny-free.

We all have mindset stuff creep in every now and then, but if left unchecked it can and will sabotage every action you take to make things better.

You cannot achieve what you think is impossible.

So my question is what are you willing to do to shift your mindset so you can have all that you desire?  If you are struggling to make the shift alone and you have tried many times to make it happen to no avail, it’s time for help.

Valentine's Day!

From now until February 17th I am offering my new Mindset Mastery Sessions at an introductory rate of $150.  These sessions will go up to $397 on February 18th.  In 1 hour we will get clear on the beliefs that are holding you back, create some simple shifts to clear them up, and provide you with action steps to continue to take so you can move forward and keep your mindset positive and productive. There’s no reason to let your mindset issues linger and keep you back from everything you desire…it’s time to make a chance.

Don’t Let Your Scotoma Kill Your Dreams

January 27, 2015 by Lamisha

There is an epidemic going on in the world and every single person reading this is affected.

I’m not talking about war or the epic flu that has been going around, I’m talking about something that in the world of magic, miracles & manifesting the life of your dreams, is far more deadly.

Your scotoma.

Sounds a bit like a disease, but instead of affecting your body, this affects your mindset and is deadly when it comes to you creating and enjoying the life you have always wanted.

Scotoma: a spot in the visual field in which vision is absent or deficient.

(The Merriam-Webster definition)

So what does this definition of a visual blind spot have to do with your dreams? The easy answer is everything.

You see, so many times I chat with amazing women like yourself who have equally amazing dreams to create a life that works for them and brings them joy.  They are ready and willing to venture into uncharted territory and will begin taking steps to make big waves in the world and then BAM-their Scotoma shows up and causes them to retreat.

But the thing is they don’t SEE it.  It’s a silent but deadly killer in the world of your dreams and you very rarely see it coming.

You can be moving along happily with your plans, inspiration, joy, and passion until one day everything feels like it’s crumbling around you.

Your confidence flies out the window, you wonder why or how you ever started and you are triggered left and right.

Doubt, fear, and insecurities settle in and you begin to retreat, trying to fit into the comfortable and safe box that you just left.

But the box is broken and you no longer have a space there..so the only way to keep moving forward is to identify the scotoma (aka blind spot that blind sided you on your path) and to shift the shit so you can reset your mindset and be on your merry way.

So, how do you identify this thing that can’t be seen but has the power to throw you off your game faster than you could get your dream off the ground? By seeking the help of an expert.

The truth is you are too close to see what exactly needs shifting.  The gremlins in your mind are playing tricks on you and your Ego is negotiating with you so you will continue to play small, but you know something has to shift.

You may not know what it is, but you know that a change needs to be made.  It’s time to clear up your vision, shift the shit that needs shifting, and to send you onward on your path.

Lucky for you, I’m not only a master shit-shifter, but I am also a scotoma-ologist (if there were ever such a thing.)

I have a vantage point unlike any other and am able to help you see the thing that is holding you back and when you see how small it can be (sometimes the size of a splinter) and how easy it is to shift it for you, you will wonder why you couldn’t see it to begin with.

You will have better focus, more inspiration, and confidence in your abilities to create and craft the life of your dreams.  And the next time you find yourself sliding off your game, you will be better equipped to locate the culprit.

Creating & manifesting the life of your dreams isn’t an exact science and there isn’t a how-to guide because we are all different.

There are bumps, hurdles, and curves that we each must move through because there is a lesson in each one.  A lesson that we will build upon as we continue to grow and until you are able to shift it, change it and rearrange your mindset, you won’t be able to stand fully in your power.

But, you don’t have to go through those lessons alone, in fact that’s not how we are built.  We are here to help one another.  To encourage, uplift, share, and when it’s needed shift the shit that is holding you back. That’s what I want to do for you.

Got shit that needs shifting? I’ve got a Free 30-Minute Consultation with your name on it and an opportunity for you to work with me in a new way not yet listed on my website.  It’s an intro-offer set aside just for those that want help with their mindset junk. Interested?

Let’s chat!

Manifesting My Dream Life

January 9, 2015 by Lamisha

manifest

I am all about creating a life you love, because seriously if you aren’t loving your life, something needs to happen.

Life is short and there is enough mediocrity, pain, darkness, and general negativity in the world that you don’t need to look at your job, relationship, business, career, family, or anything else in your life and feel more of the same.

It’s time something changed.

Over the years the concept of what my dream life actually entailed has changed.

I’ve grown up a bit and while I’m older (only in age, definitely NOT in spirit), I have bigger more wild dreams than I ever had as a child.

At one time I simply wanted a ‘secure’ life, with a stable job, and love…lots of love (I’m a Leo after all).  But as time wore on, I wanted more than that.

I craved freedom, family, love, passion, purpose, excitement, adventure, abundance, happiness, peace, community, creativity, support, inspiration…you know just a few things.

Through studying the Law of Attraction, I realized I could have it all…and I started manifesting the life of my dreams one piece at a time.

The first thing that came was love…I manifested my soul mate.  I didn’t know at the time I was manifesting a soul mate per se, but I knew exactly what I wanted in a partner and shortly after writing a list of all the attributes I was looking for in a woman, I found her.  Looking for love incidentally lead to a ton of adventure as I left my life at ‘home’ and moved 300+ states away…and never looked back.

A few years later, we had our son…which by a string of amazing synchronicities couldn’t have happened without clear focus and manifesting mojo for sure.  (I won’t go into details, but it was a series of perfectly aligned energy.)

Not long after that, I manifested an opportunity to work from home to spend more time with my family.  An opportunity that literally fell into my lap and it couldn’t have happened had I not made peace with my current position while focusing on what I was seeking, even though I had NO idea how it would happen.

9 months later, I manifested a brand-spankin’ new house (in 3 days)…in another state that we were moving too (and more adventures of course).

Then my dream career of coaching and did I mention money, connection, purpose, passion, and so much joy?

Yeah all that too…

When I write about living the life of your dreams, it isn’t some abstract idea or thought about what you might be able to achieve.  I’m also not blowing smoke up your rear.

I’m 100% serious about the fact that you can be, have, or do anything you want.

Every woman I speak with has a vision and I know it’s possible…but my knowing isn’t enough.  I teach you to actually utilize the amazing power you have within to create the life you’ve always wanted.

Want to sell everything off and live in a tiny house off the grid? Yes, you can do that.

Want a mansion with a staff to take care of you and your estate? Yes, you can do that too.

Want a business that provides financial freedom, joy, and passion for the rest of your days? Yep, you can have that too.

I’m not giving you the power, I’m just teaching you how to use it.  You already have the power…we all do.

And that’s why I created the Magical Manifesting group program to reach more women like you who crave something more.  A life that you aren’t just settling for…a life that you LOVE.

Manifesting is something we all can do..in fact you are already doing it in every action, thought, and feeling you have.  It’s time to harness that power and to truly create the amazing life you’ve always wanted.  This practical 6-week program does more than give you the steps to make it happen, it provides practical application so you not only know it works, but you have evidence in your own life.

Are you ready to manifest the life you’ve always wanted?  Give me 6 weeks and I’ll give you everything you need to make it happen. You can check out the program HERE.  If you aren’t sure about it just yet, but want to get a taste for what all this manifesting business is about, sign up to receive my FREE Video Series: 7 Secrets to Create the Life of Your Dreams.  I promise you won’t be sorry you did.
