What risks are you willing to take to

You all know I am a BIG believer and teacher of the Law of Attraction and along with that comes the understanding that every thing we think and feel gets communicated as vibration.

We attract back to us what we send out and that is why our mindset, thoughts, feelings, self-talk etc. are SO important when we are manifesting the life of our dreams.

Garbage in=garbage out.

What you think about yourself and your life, you experience in your reality.

The concept is easy, but what happens when we start sending mixed signals to the Universe/God/Source (whatever you want to call it)?

You get mixed results.

You have to be super clear about what you want and make sure that your beliefs, thoughts, and experiences reflect those things.

I’ll give you an example.

Say you run a business and you have just raised your rates because you know you are worth more than what you currently charge.  You set your monthly goal higher and tell the Universe in very clear language…I am ready to charge what I am worth.

The Universe responds and sends you clients who are used to you charging your older rates.

You feel stuck and uncomfortable sharing the new rates so you give them your ‘old rate’ because…you need the money.

You’ve just sent a mixed message that could result in you getting only clients that are willing to pay your older rates or people that complain about your raised rates.

BUT…

What if you charged your new rates and that client couldn’t afford you?  I’ll tell you what happens.  You clearly define what you are worth and the Universe responds by sending you another client that is happy to pay your current (raised) rates.

Another example…

What if you want to manifest some additional money and are open to how it might flow to you.

But, when you are presented with some opportunities to make some extra cash doing what you love…you turn it down or decide to do it for free?

You might have a belief that it’s hard to make money or that when you do what you love you should only do it for free.

If so, you are sending mixed signals and pushing money away.

It’s not our job to determine HOW things will manifest…it is only our job to be clear about what we want and to take inspired action when the time is right.

If your manifestations are a bit mixed and aren’t exactly what you are looking for, it might be time for a check in.  What messages are you sending the Universe right now? Are they clear?

Action step: Take a look at all of your goals for the last month and the actions you have taken to get you to those goals.  Are your intentions and actions in alignment with each other?  If not, make some changes and ensure that you are sending crystal clear messages about what you desire.  When you do, your manifestations are not only faster, but are more of what you DO want and less of what you don’t.

The Truth About Living the Life of Your Dreams

When I talk about living the life of your dreams, it comes with a certain spark and twinkle about what may be.  Having a beautiful life full of amazing people, love, abundance, joy, and for me a career that I adore doing what I love.  But, something I don’t often talk about is the not so sparkly stuff…you know the ‘life’ stuff.

I may have set up a pre-conceived notion that when you finally attain the life of your dreams then life is nothing but rainbows and sunshine.  That money flows, your health is amazing, and your love life-well it’s better than ever before.  And while yes that may be part of your story, it’s not all made up of rainbows and sunshine.

The truth is…shit happens.

I was reminded of this fact just last week.

My internet was down, my modem died, my dryer wasn’t working properly, and I ended up late to a client appointment because I mis-read my schedule…all on the same day.

The old me would have pitched a fit, complained, and made an annoying situation even worse by turning it into a bad day.

The new-growing-living-and-learning-me responded differently.

I handled all of the glitches with as much ease as I could and then I took the rest of the day off.

I like to think that I am living the life of my dreams.  I am doing work I love, from home, and I have a beautiful family that I love with all my heart.  Sure I have new goals and big things I want to accomplish this year and I know I will, but for now, I’m happy.

The difference between my pre-dream life living and now is that I used to allow my outer circumstances dictate how I think and feel about everything. 

I am growing in that way because now I don’t do that nearly as often.  Sure, there are times when I forget and have a moment or two where my vision is blurred and I react as opposed to respond to life, but I am still learning.

So, why am I telling you all this?

I’m telling you because there are SO many wonderful changes that come with living the life of your dreams aside from the ‘stuff’.  Your mental shifts are worth more than the money, the house, the car, the job etc.  Your mental shifts are incidentally what help you create the life of your dreams and help you when shit happens afterward.

In addition to ‘having it all’, you will:

  • Learn to respond to life in a loving way
  • Enjoy life so much more even with the ups and downs
  • Know that when shit happens, it doesn’t last forever
  • Be the example for others to do the same

And when I think back to those very important details about living this life, I find them to be far more valuable than the ‘stuff’.

The Formula is Simple…

This idea isn’t new at all and there are tons of professionals out there telling you to do the very same thing.

So why are there so many people NOT doing what they love?

The simple answer is that they don’t think they can.

They think that if you do what you love you are being lazy or you can’t make money and support a family doing what you love.  But, I am making it my life’s mission to show each and every client I work with that it not only IS possible, but it is also NECESSARY.

We are not given this amazing life to work crazy hours doing things we hate.  We aren’t meant to struggle and worry about getting up and going to a J-O-B we despise.

The fact of the matter is we all have gifts to share with the world and they are incidentally connected and directly related to the very thing you love doing.

This isn’t rocket science…the formula is just that simple.

Identify what you love to do…and go do it.

No excuses. No worries.  No wondering how you will make it happen.  Like Nike said…Just do it!

I have 100% faith in every single person that I chat with about what they want to do with their lives, sometimes more than they have faith in themselves.

The mere fact that you have a dream means it’s possible…it’s the law of the Universe.  My mom always used to say “Where there’s a will, there’s a way.” and I fully believe that.

If you want to live the happy, fulfilling, amazing, life of your dreams…do it.  It’s 100% possible and once you make the decision to make it happen, it becomes 100% probable.

What’s Too Good for YOU?

So, I’ve been thinking a lot about manifesting and creating a life we love and I keep coming up against this common theme.  It’s something I remember thinking about a few years ago in a positivity training for a job I was working at the time.  We were given an exercise to think of our dream car.

As my fellow co-workers were scribbling away on their note cards, I was stumped. I didn’t have a dream car per se.  If it was reliable, had good gas mileage, and didn’t look too bad on the outside, it was a good option for me.  Up until that moment I’d never thought about what my dream car might be.

The facilitator apparently had come across this before and encouraged us to come up with our dream car regardless of how tough it might be.  Once I had an answer down (I don’t even remember at this point what that was), he asked a question that has stuck with me over the years.

What’s too good for you?

When we think about what we want in life, we often imagine what is ‘realistic’ and ‘logical’ for us based on what we know about our lives, income level etc.  When I was thinking of my dream car, a Rolls Royce didn’t quite match my vision.  In my mind that was something that was just too good for me.  (It also isn’t something I would want to drive now anyways.)

Several years later that question has come up in many conversations with clients.  Thinking of the life they would love to live, they begin using their logic to come up with what they desire.  When I tell them to throw logic to the wind, sometimes it’s still difficult to come up with the ideal life because there are things that just feel too good for them.

Why is that?

What is it about a life that feels amazing inside and out that scares us or causes us to pull back a bit?

Is it the fear of disappointment?

The thought we don’t deserve it?

Or maybe it’s just a matter of wondering if it’s possible to really have it all?

For so long we’ve been taught some messed up lessons about abundance, love, and living a happy life that we grow up thinking it’s only meant for some people, but certainly not us.

Lessons like: If you have love, be happy you have it because very few have love AND money.

We’ve been taught that it’s possible for a select few…the rich and famous, the extremely talented people that we see on television every day, but not little ‘ole us.

That’s a LIE.

We all have the same abilities to create and craft the amazing life of our dreams.  With love, abundance, success, joy, family, community, creativity, and freedom.  ALL OF US.

And as soon as you decide that you can have it all and that there is nothing too good for you, you will begin to see shifts happen almost instantly in your life. I promise.

This isn’t about having all the money in the world or driving the most expensive car.  This is about living a life that resonates with YOU.  That illustrates what is most important to you.  THAT is what the life of your dreams is about.

So, today I ask you…what’s too good for you to be, have, or do?

My answer? Nothing.
