The cost of giving up…

There have been many times when I’ve thought about giving up, particularly when I couldn’t really see my way forward.

You see, when I began this path, nothing was certain.

I made a decision to follow my heart and LIVE my purpose and 2 weeks later, I got laid off from my full-time job.

I had no clients, no money, and a dream.

A dream to help empower women to see their true brilliance so they could finally step into their power and LIVE the life they were meant to.

A dream to teach women to listen to their intuition, see and honor their truth so they could go out into the world and make a difference.

I had NO idea how this was going to take shape and while over time it began to get more clear, there were moments I thought of giving up.

But, you see the cost of giving up is much greater than just a hit to my ego. The cost of giving up effects not just myself and my family, but the world.

The women I could be helping and the people they would then help as an extension from the support I gave them.

You see, it’s all about the ripple effect.

Giving up on my dream means I’m also giving up on yours and every single time I thought about throwing in the towel, I remembered the great cost of giving up.

But…recently I am seeing more and more women settling for ‘what is’ instead of digging deep and doing the work that is needed to move beyond where they are.

I SEE the dreams in their eyes, the inspiration in their soul, and the tired, worn out beliefs they carry with them that are holding them back.

Like heavy baggage, they slowly move forward, if they move at all while most simply settle for this moment, allowing their dream to be just that…a dream.

Let me ask you something…

When did you decide you’d never make it?

When did you decide the life you desire wasn’t meant for you?

When did you decide it would just never happen?

When did you decide that this is as good as it gets for you?

Do you know?

Was it when you got knocked down for a moment or when you thought that one little trial was the sign that THIS wasn’t meant to be?

I’m seeing a whole heap of incredibly talented, intelligent, powerful women throwing in the towel because of their current circumstance. They’re allowing their current “reality” be the reason they lose hope and give up completely.

But, here’s what they don’t know (or in the least they have forgotten):

What you SEE in front of you is merely a reflection of the beliefs you hold in your mind and in your heart.

What you SEE in front of you is NOT an indication of what you are able to do unless you give up.

We’ve already talked about the cost of giving up, so why on earth would you allow yourself to give up on your dream, your vision, your desires, AND the very people that need you most???

I think it’s pretty clear that right now we need all the positive change-makers we can get rallying together with their gifts uplifting, inspiring, and supporting others and you are no different.

We NEED your light.

We NEED your power.

We NEED YOU to step up and see what you bring to this amazing world and you can’t do that by thinking that this is as good as it gets!

It’s time.

It’s YOUR time.

It’s way PAST time for you to get your mindset together and make a difference not only in YOUR life, but in the lives of the very souls you were put here to change.

I’m going to shoot straight today and ask you flat out.

How bad do you want it?

It being…change, transformation, abundance, joy, peace, flow, love, compassion, adventure, etc.?

How bad do you want it?

Do you want it enough to get a little uncomfortable while you stretch outside your comfort zone?

Do you want it enough to look a the dark parts of your soul that feel a bit icky?

Do you want it enough to take BIG ACTION even when it scares the crap out of you?

Do you want it enough to NOT GIVE UP, no matter what your external circumstances tell you?

Well..do you?

If you said yes, then I have good news for you…you will get it. It will happen for you and you will experience the sweet nectar that comes from standing out and taking ownership of what you desire.

If you said, “ummm, maybe”, I’ve got news for you.

It’s time to OWN it.

It’s time for you to step out and stand in your power for all that you desire and to stop pussy-footing around about what you may or may not be able to achieve. There is no sugar-coating it friends. When you want something and I mean REALLY want it…you keep going.

You get knocked down and you get up. You keep writing, singing, acting, reaching, growing, evolving, living, sharing, and moving forward because you can’t not do it.

Your purpose is a part of you. It IS you. It’s who you are and what you were put here to do and if you aren’t owning it…I mean really owning it…what are you doing?

You have a God-given, Divinely inspired, Universally-assigned gift to be truly, magnificently, and unapologetically YOU.

Live it. Love it. Share it. Be it. And for the love of all things holy…OWN IT.

There is no one else like YOU and if you know anything about the state of our worldly affairs right now, you know we could use some kickass visionaries following their heart to make this world a better place.

If that is YOU…it’s time.

Your time to shine.

Your time to drop the excuses and step your game up.

And if you HAVEN’T been because you’ve been thinking all the crappy mind-mumbo-jumbo that has you playing small, it’s time for change.

Ask the Coach: Q & A part 2

Q: What are the steps to manifestation, i.e. from Intention to actual Manifestation?

This is a question I get a lot and it’s one of my favorite things to talk about! So, the basic steps to manifestation are as follows: Set your intention or desire, TRUST it and let it go. Now that’s the easy explanation of course and there are lots of things that can get in the way.

Many people ask about taking action and what it is that we have to ‘DO’ to make our desires manifest. The truth is you just follow the next inspired step, but you typically don’t do it as a way to manifest. Meaning, you are simply taking action because you feel inspired to, not because you feel you need to do it to manifest that thing you desire. So, the EASIEST way to manifest is to be clear about what you desire and feel good about it. Raise your vibes and do what you love while letting go of the outcome.

Your vibration and energy matter more than anything you can say or do so if you are feeling good then you are in the right space to manifest.

And also, what types of blocks are possible + what to do to unblock and pursue?

There are all kinds of beliefs or blocks that can get in the way of manifesting some of which are:

Thinking it has to be hard
Not fully trusting or believing
Not letting go of the outcome
Micro-managing the ‘how’
Allowing your current reality to set your vibration

MOST people get caught up in not fully believing that they can manifest their desires or getting caught up in ‘how’ it will happen. The thing to remember with manifesting is that the Universe doesn’t operate using logic like humans do. It uses the path of least resistance based on what we can allow. Anything is possible with the power of the Universe, but you have to know that is true and let go of ‘how’ you think it ‘should’ come to you and what you think is most realistic. The Universe doesn’t care about reality. It’s an unlimited source of all knowledge, resources, and abundance.

When you have blocks like these there are a few ways to clear them. One of my favorites is EFT-Emotional Freedom Technique. This allows you to release the negative thought and the energy within it to make room for a better, higher vibration to help you manifest.

You can also build new beliefs by using affirmations, mantras, meditation, etc. that basically rewire your brain to see infinite possibilities and know that anything is possible.

The key ingredient to releasing blocks and manifesting with ease and race is to just let go…I know it’s easier said than done sometimes, but it is KEY.

2016 here we come!!!

6 Beliefs You Need To Release Right NOW

I’m on a bit of a mindset rampage right now and beliefs are coming up BIG time in my 1:1 work right now. How you think and feel about life and yourself is everything when it comes to living a happy life and these are some of the biggest most hairy, scary beliefs that I find are holding folks back.

It has to be hard. Says WHO? Says us apparently. There are so many sayings that convince us that if we don’t work hard, try hard, or trudge through the tough stuff it’s not worth it, but I have seen a better way in action. The easy way. The way that feels magical and wondrous and so much fun! It only has to be hard if you THINK it has to be. That includes money, finding a career you love or finding your soulmate. Decide right now that you deserve ease and grace and flow and I promise you are one step closer to it.

I’m not enough. We all have these stories in our minds about how we aren’t pretty enough, smart enough, tall enough, rich enough etc. in order to achieve the life of our dreams. But, here’s a funny thing…you are enough. You are smart, funny, pretty, intelligent and any other thing you can come up with in order to ‘be’ enough. And if you don’t have all the pieces, you have the potential and capabilities of getting it so, this belief is just a bunch of BS and it’s one we all hold onto a bit. You are enough…period.

I don’t know ‘how’. This is a big one! The truth is a lot of people didn’t know HOW to do something before they figured it out. Thomas Edison and Albert Einstein didn’t know ‘how’ to do all they did, until they figured it out. The truth is you don’t have to know HOW to do it…you just have to follow the next step and trust. Sounds a bit elementary, but it’s the biggest thing I’ve learned in all of this work. Trust that you will know ‘how’ when the time is right. Always.

I’m not worthy. Another biggie I hear from my clients. So many people think they have to DO something to be worthy of their dreams. You don’t. You just have to have a desire and BOOM you are worthy of having it. Of course, thinking you aren’t worthy creates feelings of unworthiness which compound in our reality with reasons we are unworthy. Drop the story about why you aren’t worthy of living the life you desire and get on with living it already. You are alive. You are breathing. You are here now. You ARE worthy

It’s too late for me. It’s never too late to do the things you want to do or to be the person you want to be. I don’t care how old you are or how many jobs you’ve had or how many mistakes you’ve made. It’s never too late…ever. If you have a desire in your soul to create, experience or live a vision in your mind then you have the power and time to make it happen. Don’t let time be the limiting factor. None of us really know how much time we have left right? So hop to it already. What are you waiting for my dear?

It’s just not in the cards for me. So many people believe that when we are born we are given a hand of cards. Some get the really good cards like the Aces and Kings while others get 2’s and 3’s and whatever hand we are dealt is it. That’s all we get to play with. Looking at the cards they see their future. The possibilities or lack thereof and see what is limiting them in creating a life they love. But, here’s the thing. What if…you were the designer, developer and artist for your cards? What if you didn’t actually get a hand of cards, but you get to hand-craft the cards (and possibilities) in your hand with a mere thought? Good news! You do. You get to choose what is in the cards for you by the power of your focus and mind, so let go of the BS story that it’s just not meant for you. We are all cut from the same beautiful fabric and you are indeed the creator of your own reality. Isn’t it time you started acting like it?

These are just a few of the beliefs I hear over and over again in my 1:1 work and if you have similar beliefs, they are limiting your potential more than you know. Ditch them, dump them, and rebuild anew. It’s time to step into your power especially as we enter into a new year.
